Chip Earns Trip to College Mascot Nationals

BOULDER -University of Colorado's mascot Chip has qualified to compete at Nationals after placing 10th among 36 college mascots with his video submission.

Chip compiled video clips from his performances over the past year, and with the help of BuffVision, created a two-minute video montage. The 10th place finish will enable him to compete live against other mascots at the 2007 UCA College Mascot Nationals on Jan. 12, in Orlando, Fla.

The video was based on the following criteria: overall character development; game situations; crowd involvement; cheer/dance/band integration; community service; school activities (non-sporting); and overall impression.
