CU Sixth In Director's Cup Standings

BOULDER - The University of Colorado stands sixth in the NACDA Director's Division I Cup Standings, which were tabulated within the last week to include all fall sport competitions.
The Buffaloes, on the strength of the national title in men's cross country with a second place finish in the sport by the CU women, earned 304 points to rank sixth overall for the fall, which was also tops by all Big 12 Conference schools. The cross country win was worth 100 points, with the runner-up effort netting 90.
The women's soccer team advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16, which earned 64 points, while the women's volleyball team scored 50 for advancing to the second round.
California leads with 364.5 points, earning points in six sports including 100 for the men's water polo crown. Stanford (334), Duke (316), UCLA (309) and Wisconsin (309) round out the top five.
After Colorado, Texas was the next Big 12 school on the list, coming in 11th with 269 points. Oklahoma State (28th, 155 points), Oklahoma (34th, 130), Nebraska (37th, 125), Texas Tech (46th, 117), Texas A & M (58th, 98), Missouri (69th, 75), Iowa State (91st, 50), Kansas 122nd, 34), Kansas State (124th, 25) and Baylor (173rd, 16) complete the conference fall standings.
Locally after the Buffaloes, Colorado State ranked 90th with 51 points and Denver 91st with 50. Air Force did not score any fall points.
