The competition started off on the right foot for CU sweeping all three doubles positions for a quick 1-0 lead.
Singles followed with the visitors winning all six singles slots securing their second straight shut out over Air Force in as many years.
Monica Milewski, the lone nationally ranked player on the court this evening, defended her No. 36th ranking, defeated Christine Abayan in straight sets 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles slot.
Other straight set winners were freshman Camila Belassi at No. 2 defeating Lauren Wilson 6-4, 6-3; at No. 3, junior Veera Nurmi beat Meghan Kiser 6-3, 6-0; at No. 5, junior Gleisy Torres Torres swept Erika Shortridge 6-1, 6-2; and at No. 6, freshman Melisa Esposito defeated Kelly Morgan 6-4, 6-1.
Rounding out the scoring was sophomore Franziska Jendrian getting past Karissa Walker 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8) at No. 4.
Milewski and Torres Torres each picked up their 10th singles victory of the year, while Jendrian won her eighth, Nurmi her seventh, Belassi her sixth, and Esposito her third.
In doubles, Belassi/Torres Torres defeated Kiser/Walker 8-1 for their first win together as a duo, as did Nurmi and senior Martina Sedivec defeating Shortridge/Morgan 8-3 at No. 3.
The veteran pair of Jendrian and Milewski overwhelmed Abayan/Wilson at No. 2 with an 8-2 winner earning their third win in four tries.
CU enters the spring season as the No. 56 nationally ranked team and one of nine Big 12 schools among the nation's 75 ranked schools.
The Buffaloes (1-0) open the home season this Friday, Jan. 26 against No. 34 Arizona (1-0) at the Millennium Harvest House. The match begins at 3 p.m.
