Head Coach Jeff Bzdelik
GENERAL ? “The lack of depth hurt us. It is very difficult to go seven deep. We lost our legs and that affected our ability to score. We were getting good shots, we just weren't making them and we were a step slow on defense in the second half. We aren't about explanations or excuses so give
ON LACK OF DEPTH ? “Getting Dwight (Thorne) back will help, he will give us a much needed player. We have to take this day by day. We have to play with great emotion and energy at all times to be competitive, plain and simple.”
ON TEAM ENERGY ? “I was trying everything just to get more energy on our bench. We have to play with so much energy and I was just trying to promote that to our players. I probably looked foolish at times but I am proud of our team, they were running on empty but they kept battling.”
ON WHY THEY LOST ENERGY ? “We have to work so hard on both ends at all times. We are undersized and even boxing out wears on you and takes so much energy. We aren't about excuses, it is what it is but we kept battling. Maybe I need to shorten practice a little, but we have so much to learn. I just need to balance our time better.”
ON THE DIFFERENCE IN TONIGHT'S GAME ? “There were a lot of back breakers. They made some big shots, give them great. We have to continue to work to get better.”
ON THE FIRST HALF ? “We had a heck of a first half, there was a lot of scoring. We shot 52 percent and did a lot of things well. Our offense thrives on cutting hard and we did that really well before we hit empty.”
ON TEAM DEFENSE ? “We need to contain the ball better. Defending the ball, early help, sinking and filling are all things that we need to improve upon.”

Head Coach Doug Wojcik
GENERAL ?“Anytime you win on the road it's huge. I thought we made great strides. I'm pleased that we're showing more togetherness. Our team was resilient. We were able to adapt to their small lineup and we don't normally play a zone. We also showed a lot of aggressiveness. The first half we didn't get a lot of easy shots. Our problem is turnovers and we have to clean up the fast break.”
ON RICHARD ROBY?“He is a great player. To me, he is a pass-handle-shoot guy.”

ON POTENTIALLY LOOKING PAST
ON HIS FIRST HALF PERFORMANCE ? “I don't think anything was different from our end. It is just that when someone scores 18 points in the first half their coach is going to get on them and set some things up defensively. I just tried to stay aggressive and do what I could.”
ON THE SECOND HALF DIFFERENCE ? “They play ten guys and we play seven, that is an advantage for them. No matter how much you work on conditioning you are going to get fatigued during the game. We play hard all the time, we just need to keep pushing it.”
GENERAL ? “We got real sloppy at the end and missed some easy shots. When you do that it messes with you mentally. You are going to get tired in a game, but you need to stay mentally strong.”
ON THE TEAM BEING READY FOR BIG 12 PLAY ? “I'm not sure if we are or not, sometimes it seems like it and other times it doesn't. We have to learn to be more physical because we struggle as a team when we go up against a physical team. We have a lot of things to fix before Saturday.”

ON CU'S OFFENSIVE STRUGGLES ? “We have to learn how to run our stuff when we are facing defensive pressure. We just need to learn how to run our stuff better, it really just comes down to execution.”
