Team Notes

?          3rd time in 4 games that Colorado scored 10 points at the 1st Media Timeout of the games, had the lead each time

?          3rd consecutive home game that Colorado has either led or was tied at the half (Missouri 34-24, Kansas 30-30)

?          Crazy Eight's for Colorado in the 1st Half ! Hall, Roby and Knutson each led Colorado with 8 points at the half

?          Made their 1st 14 Free Throws in the 2nd half ... went 17-of-18 in the 2nd half

?          25-of-29 from the free throw line, which is the most free throws made this season

?          CU grabbed 24 rebounds to tie with Oklahoma, CU had been out-rebounded in its last three games (33-to-32 over Missouri on Jan. 26

?          Today's game against Oklahoma marks the first time the men's basketball programs at Colorado has worn black jerseys at home. The Colorado women have worn black uniforms once at home March 24th, 2003 in a NCAA Tournament win over North Carolina 86-67.

?          This season marks the first time since the 1995-1996 season that the Buffs have played Oklahoma and Oklahoma St. in back-to-back games. Colorado lost both games in the ?95-96 season.

?          Colorado's halftime lead is the fifth time in Big 12 play the Buffs have had lead after the first half.

?          Colorado had no offensive rebounds in the first half, the fewest ever for the Buffalo men's basketball program since 1981-82 ( CU had two rebounds against Arkansas State in the NIT March 21st , 1991) when offensive rebounding was calculated. It also marks the lowest offensive rebound total in the 12-year Big 12 conference history. With three total offensive rebounds for the game, that ties the lowest mark the season. CU also had three total offensive rebounds against Stanford.

?          Colorado beating Oklahoma is the first time that the Buffs have beaten OU and Nebraska in both football and basketball at home for the first time in school history.

?          With 72 points today, Colorado scored the most points during Big 12 play this season. It also marks the 4th most point total for the Buffs this season.

?          CU's 23 field goal attempts were the lowest this season for the Buffs. It is also the first time since the 1993 season that the Buffs have attempted less than 40 field goals, the previous time coming in a loss against Kansas (3/12/93). This ties the lowest field goals attempted came in a win of 62-69 over Nebraska on Jan. 21, 1981.

?          CU shot 60.6% from the field today, the second best effort this season. Colorado shot the most free throw attempts (29) and converted the most makes (25) this season. That also marks the best free throw percentage the Buffs have had this season with an 86.2 percent mark. This was the best percentage since the Buffs shot 22-of-25 (88%) Jan. 9, 1999 at Oklahoma in a CU loss.

?          The Buffs held the Sooners to a 15.4% from beyond the arc, the lowest by any opponent this season.                    

?           With two Buffs scoring in double figures (Roby and Hall), the Buffs improve to 4-5 on the season

 

Richard Roby

?          Scored all of Colorado's seven points during a critical 7-0 run.  He made CU's last basket of the 1st half and the 1st 5 points in the 2nd half... giving Colorado its largest lead of the game at that point, 38-to-27 at the 18:54 mark of the 2nd half

?          4th consecutive game Roby has either led or tied CU in scoring, 19 today shared with Marcus Hall

?          Made every two point shot he attempted today and went 1-of-2 from beyond the arc

?          Roby scored in double figures for the 21st time this season and the 104th time of his Buff career.

?          With two assists today, Roby moved into a tie with Jay Sferra with 242 career assists (14th most in a Buff career).

 

Marcus Hall

?          Made all of his shots in the 2nd half 4-of-4 from field including 1 three pointer

?          Hit two free throws with :55 left in the 2nd half, making Colorado 14-14 at that point for free throws in the 2nd half giving Colorado its double-digit lead back 69-58

?          1st time he has led or tied CU in scoring since getting 28 at Missouri on Jan. 26

?          Hall scored in double figures for the third straight game, the 17th time this season, and the 51st time of his career.

?          With 19 points today, Marcus Hall passed Chauncey Billups in career points who has 1,020 career points. With 1,026 career points, Hall is tied for 23rd with Wilky Gilmore on CU''s career scoring list.

?          Hall played the entire 40 minutes today, which is the sixth time this season.

 

Levi Knutson

?          Tied his career high in Big 12 points at the half with 8, he scored 8 vs. Nebraska Jan. 15

?          Was held scoreless in the previous 5 games played until today

 ?         Scored for the first time since Jan. 19th against Texas and his first three pointer since CU's last victory against Nebraska on Jan. 15th.

 

 

Cory Higgins

?          Had a huge defensive rebound with :35 left in the game and Made final 2 Free Throws for Colorado, giving them the 72-58 advantage

?          Had a game high 7 rebounds today, 1st time he led CU in rebounding in a game since getting 8 rebounds at Texas on 1/19

 

Jermyl Jackson-Wilson

?          Made the 2nd Colorado Block in a row down the floor in the 2nd half at the 13:05 mark... keeping the 14 point Colorado lead at 47-33

 

Dwight Thorne

?          Had 7 points today was the most he has scored since having 8 points at Texas Jan. 19

?          Started for the third game in a row

 

Xavier Silas

?          Made a key defensive rebound at 2:05 and hit 2 free throws in a row at the 2:02 mark in the 2nd half as Colorado made all 12 of its free throws at that point in the 2nd half

 

Marcus King-Stockton

?          King Stockton was held scoreless for the first time since Dec. 2nd against Stanford.

?       For the first time in conference play this season, he did not record a blocked shot.
