Spikers Hit Road For A Pair of Big 12 Matches

The Bears are 11-3 overall and are 3-1 in the Big 12. BU started the season with eight straight wins before dropping two straight. The Bears rebounded by taking the next three before falling to its first ranked opponent (No. 17
The Bears are led by Katie Sanders, who is averaging 3.71 kills per game. Anna Breyfogle adds 2.78 and Ashlie Christenson chips in 2.52. BU is attacking at a .260 clip thanks to 10.10 assists per set by Taylor Barnes. Allison King has picked up 3.82 digs per game this season to lead the Bears. Baylor, which is recent years, has had solid blockers and this year is no difference. Breyfogle has put up 1.60 per set and has 80 total blocks this season. Briana Tolbert adds 1.12.
The No. 2 ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers are a perfect 12-0 and are 4-0 in conference play. They will face Texas Tech on Wednesday, Nov. 1 prior to hosting the Buffs.
NU has a very potent offense which is led by Jordan Larson. Larson is averaging 3.68 kills per set and is attacking at a .246 clip. She also adds 2.93 digs per set and 0.49 blocks per set. Tara Mueller adds 3.30 kps while hitting .256. NU is hitting .267 on the season, thanks to Sydney Anderson, who is averaging 11.22 assists per set. Amanda Gates and Kori Cooper are both averaging 1.00 or more blocks per set. Gates posts 1.17 while Cooper adds 1.00. Kayla Banwarth is the top passer with 3.92 digs per set.
