Buffs Back On KOA Tonight

October 10, 2009 | Football

DENVER — The Colorado Buffaloes football game tonight (Oct. 10, 5:21 p.m. MDT) at the University of Texas is back on KOA-Radio, the CU Football Network's flagship station.

The game had been switched over to another ClearChannel station, but with game three of the Colorado Rockies National League Division Series against the Philadelphia Phillies postponed due to weather, the Buffaloes are back on KOA tonight.   Game three is now set for Sunday night at 8:07 mountain, as the weather tonight is forecast for temperatures in the upper 20s, with winds gusting to 15 miles per hour and a 60 percent chance of snow.  Game four, set for Sunday, is now Monday with that time to be announced.

Pregame with Mark Johnson, Larry Zimmer and Charles Johnson begins at 3:05 p.m.  Former Buff PK Mason Crosby is scheduled to stop by and visit the radio booth at the start of the third quarter (Crosby, the placekicker for the Green Bay Packers, has a bye this week).

Back on Oct. 25, 1997, Colorado beat Texas in Austin, 47-30, but could not return home until late the next day after a blizzard deposited over 25 inches of snow in the Denver metro area.  CU is hoping for only a first-half repeat of that scenario.
