General

-Colorado is now 3-0 all time against Cal State Northridge.  This was the first meeting between the two schools since Jan 17, 1994.  Coach Bzdelik is now 1-0 against the Matadors. 

-Colorado opened up the first eight minutes of the game with a 17-3 run led by Nate Tomlinson and his six points.  They finished the last 2:58 on an 11-2 run highlighted by 3-point fg's by Marcus Relphorde and Austin Dufault.

-Colorado set a new first half season high with 13 assists at the break.  Their previous high was 12 against San Francisco.

-Colorado made seven 3-pointers in the first half of play tonight, tying their previous first half high that came against Gonzaga on November 23.

-CU's seven steals in the first half marked the third time this season they achieved this mark (Arizona and Chaminade).  CU set a new season high in steals with 15.  Previously they had 13 against Chaminade.

-CU's 20 point lead at the half marked the third time the team has led by 20 and it's the third highest first half lead of the season (Coppin State, 25 and Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 21).

-CU's 35 point lead with :25.7 seconds set a new season high in point differential.  The previous high was 30 against Colorado Christian.

-Colorado set a season high in 3-pointers made 10, and attempted 25.

 -CU set a new season high in assists tonight with 27.  The previous high was 20 against San Francisco and Chaminade.

-Colorado had five players score in double digits tonight (Dufault 12, Relphorde 13, Burks 14, Higgins 14, and Dwight Thorne II 19).  This marks the second time this season that the Buffs have had five players in double digits.  The first was the season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Cory Higgins

-Started off cold shooting 0-3 from the field in his first nine minutes of play.  His first basket came with 7:38 to play in the first half when he made a three pointer along the baseline. 

-Set a new career high in assists with 8.  His previous a high of 7 was set against Colorado State on December 22, 2007.

-Now has 1,015 points for his career. Next on the all-time scoring chart is Chauncey Billups (1,020 points).

-Tonight's game marks Higgins' 74th consecutive start. He has started every game he has played at Colorado and jumped ahead of  Michel Morandais for 15th all-time in games started. 

-Scored in double digits for the tenth time this season (53rd career).

Alec Burks

-Has started all eleven games to begin his collegiate career and has scored in double digits in all eleven games.

-Led CU in scoring for the fourth time this season (two shared).

-With 175 points for the season, Burks is now tied with Emmett Lewis (1975-76) for second all-time in scoring for freshman thru eleven games, he is now only trailing Chauncey Billups (1995-96) who had 217 points through eleven games.

-Led the team in rebound tonight with 6, marking the fourth time he has lead the team in that category (one shared).

Dwight Thorne II

-Set a new season high with his team leading 19 points tonight.  His previous high was 13 against Coppin State.

Nate Tomlinson

-Started his second game of the season tonight, the other came against Colorado Christian.

Marcus Relphorde

-Tied his season high in steals, 2, in his first five minutes of play tonight.  He finished with 3.
