Hawk's Radio Show Moving To Boulder Draft House

BOULDER – University of Colorado football coach Dan Hawkins' radio show has moved to a new location for the 2009 season – the Boulder Draft House.
Buff fans can catch up with Coach Hawk alongside 850 KOA's Mark Johnson and Larry Zimmer for the Dan Hawkins Show live every Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the new Boulder Draft House, located at 2027 13th Street, less than a block off of Boulder's world famous Pearl Street Mall. The first show is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, the Wednesday prior to the Colorado-Colorado State game.
The only two exceptions to the Wednesday schedule will be the weeks of CU's two Thursday night games. The show will move to Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on Sept. 29 and Nov. 17 preceding games at West Virginia and Oklahoma State, respectively.
“I am very excited to have the radio show at the Boulder Draft House,” Hawkins said. “It's a perfect fit to have this show in downtown Boulder. The Stampede has become such a good event for us down there before games and I'm sure we will have a great following with this as well. The Draft House will be a fun and exciting atmosphere for Buff fans.”
The Draft House will offer several specials during the broadcasts including $3.00 drafts of Folsom Gold and food specials for each show.
“As a Buff supporter and big college football fan, it is our pleasure to host Coach Hawk and the KOA family here in downtown Boulder,” Boulder Draft House co-ownder Jim Howser said. “It's shaping up to be a great year for CU football and the Boulder Draft House.”
The Boulder Buff Club will also play a role in supporting the new location.
“We are thrilled to have a new home for CU supporters,” Boulder Buff Club president Denton Bain said. “The Draft House will provide a great environment for the show and other Buff Club events as well.”
