Colorado sees its three game winning streak snapped.

Colorado falls at home for the first time this season, dropping to 8-1.

Virginia improves its record against Colorado to a perfect 3-0.

Colorado drops its 13th straight game against a ranked team dating back to a 73-68 win over No. 15/15 ranked Knasas State on Feb. 23, 2008.

Colorado's 59 points were a season low. The 74 points given up to Virginia were the second most by the Buffaloes this season (87 at Minnesota).

CU was outrebounded 43-30, the largest margin against the Buffaloes this season only the fifth time they've been outrebounded. The Buffs are 2-3 this season when losing the battle of the boards.

Freshman Meagan Malcolm-Peck had a career-high four blocked shots. Her previous best had been three achieved five times. She has 12 blocks in the past four games (3.0 bpg).

Sophomore Alyssa Fressle had a season-high 5 assists. She was also 2-of-3 from the field, making her 8-of-13 over the last three games (.615).

Senior guard Bianca Smith was 6-of-11 from the 3-point line. It was her third game with six 3-point field goals this season. She has hit at least three 3-pointers in eight of 12 games.

Smith made all three of her free throw attempts, improving her season percentage to 96.1 (25-26) which leads the Big 12 Conference. She has hit 17 straight, her lass miss coming at Minnesota.

Smith had 23 points while Brittany Spears had 20. It is the second time in three games (San Jose State) the duo has hit the 20-point mark in the same game.
