Day Four Complete at ITA Regional

LAS VEGAS - It was a slow day for the University of Colorado women's tennis program at the 2010 USTA/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Region Championships on Saturday.
On day four of the five day event being played on the UNLV campus, saw the doubles team of senior Abbie Probert and freshman Kristina Schleich win their lone match on the day taking an 8-2 winner over Ellie Crum and Wena Tsan of Montana State. It was the CU's tandem second win together in three attempts this fall season.
In singles, freshman Carla Manzi Tenorio lost to BYU's Megan Price of BYU, 6-4, 6-3 in the Round of 16 consolation back draw. The other consolation Round of 16 match, CU junior Michala Hedelund Jensen retired in the second set trailing 4-1 to Utah's Lexi Provancha. Hedelund Jensen lost the first 6-4.
Elsewhere in consolation doubles play, CU's Manzi Tenorio and Winde Janssens dropped an 8-4 decision to Utah State's Hailey Swenson and Jaclyn West.
The CU netters will travel to the University of Kansas Invitational in Lawrence next Friday through Sunday (Oct. 22-24).
