GENERAL
"I thought we had a great start again, for the third game in a row. I thought we played harder for longer at the beginning of the game. From about the seven minute mark [in the second half] until the end of the game, we had a lot of trouble scoring. We were able to keep our defense going at times and I thought we did a great job defensively down the stretch."

ON THE GAME "We can't keep playing really well and then not playing well. I think this was the third game in a row that we did that. It finally caught up to us, which I thought was good. I think it's hard for me to keep saying that we can't do that when we still win by 10 to 15. I have a lot more say once we almost lose because of our lows. I think they got the hint and they got the message. Sometimes we resort to old habits, but we have to continue to play Colorado basketball. When our offense isn't falling we have to keep playing defense. The other thing offensively is that we have to take care of the ball a little bit better." ON LOSING A 19-POINT LEAD "Obviously you're concerned but you have to still be confident in what you're doing and confident in the things that you can control. Sometimes you always can't control whether or not your shot is going to drop. I thought we had some really good shots, but they just didn't fall. Chucky [Jeffery] had a lot of good shots in there and was kind of changing her shot with the defense. When your shot is not falling you have to rely on your defense. I thought in the last four minutes of the game our defense really spurred our offense. We were able to get to the foul line; we started attacking a little bit more. It was nice to see our team come together in adversity, rather than going in separate ways. I thought that one really good thing we got out of tonight's game was that we all came together as a team." Chucky Jeffery, So., G ON GAME-CLINCHING STEAL- "We planned to switch everything. My girl screened me and we switched off and [Brittany] Spears' ended up on my girl. I just basically timed it. I knew she was going to try and crossover and I waited and she crossed over and I got it." ON LOSING A 19-POINT LEAD- "I don't think we were necessarily worried, just a little frantic. We started moving too fast and not doing what we do. WE just had to settle down and get it back because we knew that they weren't going to back down, they were going to keep coming. We just had to stay composed and that's basically what did it. We knew our offense wasn't doing well so we had to pick it up on defense." Brittany Spears, Sr., F ON LOSING A 19-POINT LEAD- "To get off to a good start and lose the game is horrible. That means that means you played bad defense in the second half. We sort of just stopped playing because we were up by a lot, so I would say our defensive intensity wasn't there."Colorado Players
