Richardson, Wallace Earn CU Athlete of the Week Award

Richardson earns Athlete of the Week for the second time this year for his performance in this past Saturday's game against Kansas. Richardson, a native of Gardena, Calif. (Serra), set two school records for most catches (11) and yards (141) by a freshman, true of redshirt and tied the mark he set with two touchdowns in a single game against Texas Tech two weeks ago.
Richardson's 11 receptions tied the school's overall mark for catches in a game previously done by five different players (a total of five times). He now has four touchdown receptions this season, setting a school record for the most receiving touchdowns by a true freshman. (Donnie Holmes owned the old record of three touchdowns in 1979).
Wallace, a native of Langley, B.C. (Walnut Grove/Pepperdine) was named Athlete of the Week for her performance at The Alamo Invitational in San Antonio, Texas. Wallace's performance helped the No. 17 women's golf team finish fourth place at the event that featured four top 20 teams.
Wallace shot a school record 6-under par 66 in the second round, becoming the first player in CU history to shoot a 66 and the second player to record a round at 6-under par (joining Emily Talley, who shot a 67 on a par 73 earlier this fall). Wallace recorded her fourth straight top-five finish, setting a school record and finished the fall season with a stroke average of 72.00, another CU record. She also finished the fall three strokes under par collectively. Her 3-under par performance at The Alamo is tied for the fifth best mark in school history relative to par in a tournament.

Women's Basketball: Chucky Jeffery, So., Colorado Springs, Colo. (Sierra)
Sophomore guard Chucky Jeffery led the Buffs with 23 points in a 93-62 exhibition win over Western State this past Friday. She shot 8-for-10 from the floor and tacked on 10 assists. Additionally, Jeffery made it to the line nine times, shooting 7-for-9.
