TEAM

  • CU improves to a 7-2 start for the second consecutive season.
  • CU snaps CSU's five-game win streak, handing the Rams their third loss of the season. The Rams fall to 5-3.
  • Colorado improves to 31-11 against Colorado State. This is the 42nd game between the two teams tying the Wyoming series as the most played non-conference match up for the Buffs in school history.
  • Head coach Linda Lappe defeated her old team for the first time as Colorado's head coach. She was an assistant for one season at Colorado State University.
  • Five Buffs had four or more rebounds.
  • Tied previous season high for most offensive rebounds in a game with 16. The last time was against Texas State on December 1, 2010.
  • Season-high for overall rebounds at 51.
  • Colorado is +56 in rebound margin over its opponents over the last four games (+14.0 per game avg)
  • Held the Rams to the lowest points (49) in the series since December 1, 2007 when the Buffs won in Fort Collins 82-47.

Brittany Spears

  • Moved into fifth place overall for field goals with 619. She surpassed Jamillah Lang (1989-93) who had 617.
  • Moved into 13th place overall for free throws made with 277. This puts her behind head coach Linda Lappe who has 296.
  • Had her 33rd career 20-point game.

Chucky Jeffery

  • Earned her fifth double-double of the season with 21 points and 13 rebounds. It is the sixth of her career.
  • Tied her career and season high rebounds with 13 (she had 13 versus Loyola Chicago on November 27 and versus Texas State on December 1).

Meagan Malcolm-Peck

  • Tied her season-high for points scored in a game with 14. The previous two times were at Denver on November 16 and versus Loyola Chicago on November 27 of this year.

Julie Seabrook

  • Tied her season-high for rebounds with 10. She had 10 versus Santa Clara on November 19 and Texas State on December 1. She has averaged 6.3 a game so far this season.
  • Scored the first three-pointer of her career, which was her first attempt.

Ashley Wilson

  • Logged 16 minutes of play and contributed three points, one assist, one steal and two rebounds. She missed the previous game versus Illinois due to symptoms from a concussion.
