-CU improves to 12-3 at home, the most wins at home since 2005-06 (14-2).
-Colorado tallied its fourth win during Big 12 Conference play. All four wins occurred in Boulder.
-CU remains dominate at home against Iowa State winning their fifth straight and improving to 12-2 at home in Big 12 play. Overall, -ISU holds 15-14 edge in Big 12 Conference competition.
-Coach Bzdelik won his 109th collegiate game. He is 3-3 against ISU.
-CU won its 13th win of the season, the most under Coach Bzdelik in three years.
-CU is now 2-8 in Big 12 play when trailing at half. Their other victory came against Baylor Jan. 12.
-For the 14th time this season the Buffaloes started Burks, Higgins, Tomlinson, Relphorde, Dufault. They are 7-7 with this line-up.
-ISU outrebounded the Buffs 37-21 marking the 18th time the Buffs have been outrebounded by their opponent in the last 19 games. (Tied Oklahoma with 33 rebounds)
-As a team, the Buffs attempted 12 free throws marking the second lowest attempted as a team this season. The last time CU was perfect at the charity stripe was Feb. 18, 2006 at Kansas State (11-of-11). Ninth time since 1952-53 CU has made all free throws in a game.
-Iowa State's Craig Brackins was averaging 16.7 points per game, and the Buffs held him to 13 points during today's matchup.
CORY HIGGINS
Higgins had started for 91 straight games (fifth overall at CU).
He leads the team in scoring for the 16 times this season (one shared).
He is the fourth Big 12 player to score 30 or more points against the Cyclones this season.
Higgins recorded 33 points (season high) which is the second time this season he has recorded a 30+ point game, fourth time overall as a Buff (CU 2-2 in those games).
His 33 points moves him into 12th position on CU's all-time scoring list with 1324 points. He needs 42 points to move into the top 10.
With 373 career made free throws, Higgins is two behind Stephane Pelle who is fifth on the all-time list.
ALEC BURKS
He currently is in third place on CU's freshmen scoring list with 445 points.
Burks has scored in double figures during 26 out of 27 contests and needs 36 points to set the freshmen record.
Burks dished out four assists which ties his season high for the third time.
NATE TOMLINSON
With 8:32 left in the second half, Tomlinson scores for the first time since scoring 13 against Oklahoma on Feb. 17. In his last 73 minutes of play he has recorded only two points.
MARCUS RELPHORDE
Relphorde recorded a first half season high 12 points. 18th time with double digits and fourth straight game, longest this season
CASEY CRAWFORD
Casey Crawford made two made three-pointers and tied a 10-point season high for the fourth time.
SHANE HARRIS-TUNKS
Harris-Tunks dished out a season high 2 assists for the Buffs.
