TEAM
-Both teams started out hot from the field as CU connected on 58% of their field goals and 50% of their three point field goals. While KU connected on 66% of their field goals and 66% of their three pointers in the game's first 10:14.
-Colorado shot a scorching 69 percent (9-of-13) from beyond the arch and 88 percent (15-of-17) from the free throw line.
-CU forced the Jayhawks into three charges in the first half, and four for the game.
-Colorado had three players score in double figures, as Alec Burks (25), Cory Higgins (19) and Marcus Relphorde (15) all recorded double-digit score efforts.
-Kansas outscored Colorado 21 to 2 in second-chance points, due in large part to their 37 to 23 rebounding advantage.
-Colorado's starters accounted for 67 of CU's 78 points and outscored Kansas' starters 67 to 61.
-Higgins moved into sole possession of fifth place on Colorado's all-time scoring list with his 19 points and now has 1732 for his career. Higgins passed Stevie Wise who scored 1727 points in his career.
-Higgins climbed into a tie for 23rd on Colorado's all-time rebounding list, as his three rebounds tonight give him 497 for his career and tied Michael Morandais who also recorded 497 rebounds in his career for the Buffs.
-Higgins added to his school record free throws made as he went 2-for-2 and now has 496 career free throws made.
Nate Tomlinson
· -Tomlinson recorded his first field goal since Jan. 2 against Cal State Bakersfield at the 18:48 mark of the first half when he attempted a shot from the right and it was ruled a goal tending violation against Markieff Morris. Tomlinson followed that up with a three-point field goal at the 14:28 mark of the first half, his first since the Jan. 2 game against Cal State Bakersfield. The last time he recorded a two point field goal was Dec. 22 against New Mexico.
Alec Burks
-Burks recorded a game-high 25 points tonight, and that moves him into 31st all-time at CU and just one point away from tying Jaquay Walls for 30th all-time at Colorado.
-Relphorde scored 15 points tonight, marking the fifth time this season that he has recorded 15 or more points, and three off of his season-high of 18.
-Knutson was 2-of-3 from beyond the arch, and marking the eighth straight game he has hit at least one three-point field goal and 19-of-21 games this season.
