Colorado, Western Michigan Quotes
November 20, 2011 | Men's Basketball
Colorado Head Coach Tad Boyle
General--"I was pleased with the outcome today, but this is the time of the year to learn from our team. I'm proud that we won the game. I thought defense won us the game. Trying to buy some time with the foul trouble really helped us. This win gives us confidence and that's important in college basketball. We're going to get mentally tougher for our upcoming games. On Wednesday we're up against Air force, we'll be physically ready. The real challenge is going to be the mental part considering our travel schedule."
Western Michigan Head Coach Steve Hawkins
General--"It's tough to take (the loss). We started off well, played really hard but it was another two possession game. I believe we were very good. When you're playing this kind of schedule it's tough. We've gotten a lot better within the last two games, we just haven't been able to get the win."
On the end of the game--"You can talk about the last four minutes of the game but the first 36 are important also."
Colorado Student-Athletes
On the win--"Huge! We're going back now with a little bit of momentum after getting the win. We can learn from the other two games and the mistakes that were made."
On the win--"It built our character as a team and showed who's going to play tough. Obviously we're not proud of losing the other two games but as Austin said we're going to learn from those games."
