Colorado-Creighton Notes

December 21, 2011 | Women's Basketball

Colorado won its seventh straight game away from home, the last two of which have been neutral site games.

Colorado's 11-game winning ties for the seventh longest in team history and the best since an 11-game run during the 2007-08 season.

Colorado is 11-0 for the third time. The only better starts in team history were 15-0 in 1992-93 and 12-0 in 1980-81.

Colorado will attempt for its second-ever perfect nonconference regular season schedule on Wednesday. Only the 1992-93 team (12-0) went into conference play unbeaten.

CU allowed just 51.7 points in the 11 non-conference games, limiting the opponent to just 33.2 percent shooting overall (34.6 percent on two-point attempts and 29.7 from three-point range).  Tonight marked the fifth time the opponent was held under 50 points in a game, the 11th time in Lappe's 45-game tenure at Colorado.

All Tournament Performances: Lexy Kresl averaged 14.5 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 55 percent (11-of-20) over the two games. She was also 5-of-12 (.417) from 3-point range.
