Colorado drops to 29-19 all-time in postseason play
Colorado drops to 20-6 all-time at home in the postseason.
Colorado played its 34th game today (18-16) tying for the third most in team history. The 2008 WNIT semifinal team also played 34 (19-15) as did the 2001-02 NCAA Elite Eight team (24-10). The 1981-82 played 36 games (28-8) while the 1995-96 team played 35 (26-9).
Colorado tied a school record by playing its 21st home game today (15-6), equaling the number of the 2008 WNIT semifinal team that also went 15-6.
Colorado takes its first loss this season when leading at halftime (17-1)
USC outrebounded Colorado 46-26 the -20 being the biggest margin of deficit this season. Dayton had a +14 advantage, in a game played at USC, on Dec. 19. The 26 rebounds for CU was a season low.
Senior Brittany Spears ended her career with a bang, tying her career-high with 36 points (UMass, 11/28/08). Her 36 points ties for the third best single-game performance in team history, equaling her game against UMass and the 36 by Jasmina Ilic against Nebraska (1/4/06). Her mark was just two off the school record of 38 shared by Susan Horner vs. Weber State (3/10/79) and current CU Director of Operations Tracy Tripp at Oklahoma State (2/4/87).

Spears tied Erin Scholz's (1993-97) school record for most career starts with 127. Spears started every game of her career, and already set team marks for consecutive starts and starts to the beginning of a career.
Spears extended her own school record with her 111th career game scoring in double digits. She has scored in double digits in 32 of 34 games this season, tying Jackie McFarland (2007-08) and Lisa Van Goor (1980-81) for the second best single season effort in team history.
Spears also recorded her 46th career 20-point effort and fourth 30-point effort.
Spears finished the season with 652 points, second only to Lisa Van Goor's 678 in 1981-82. She edged Bianca Smith's single season record for 3-point attempts with 234. Smith had 233 in 2009-10. Spears also finished second in scoring average (19.2 ppg), 3-point field goals (81), and overall field goals attempted (590), fourth in field goals made (239), eighth in minutes (1,093) and 12th in rebounds (277)
Chucky Jeffery had one steal, moving her season total to 76 and into sole possession of seventh place on CU's single-season list. She had three assists, finishing the season with 128, tying Shelley Sheetz (1993-94) for the 14th best total in team history.
Sophomore Meagan Malcolm-Peck set career highs with 5 free throws and 6 free-throw attempts.
