Tebo, a long distance racer from Albuquerque, N.M., was the second collegiate finisher in the 5,000-meter race. His time of 13 minutes 44.03 seconds was the fifth fastest NCAA time this year and was a personal record for the senior. His finish was also strong enough to place fourth in the Olympic Developmental Section of the 5k. Tebo now holds the 10th fastest time in the 5,000-meter race in school history.
Coburn, a junior, finished eighth overall in the 1,500-meter race. Her time of 4:14.34 in the invitational elite section of the race was the eighth best time in CU history. The runner from Crested Butte, Colo., also had the best finish by a Big 12 Conference athlete and the fourth best time recorded by a NCAA athlete this year. Coburn raced in good company, as the Olympian Shalane Flanagan was the winner (4:11.67).
