QUICKLY Colorado falls to 1-3 on the season and will open its first year in the Pac-12 Conference next Saturday in Boulder against Washington State; kickoff has been set for 1:40 p.m. and the game will be televised nationally by FCSPacific... Ohioans and Columbus area products ILB Douglas Rippy and TB Rodney Stewart were added as game captains for today ... Ohio State now leads the all-time series by a 4-1 count, including four straight wins ... CU is now 1-3 in the state of Ohio and 7-22 all-time in games played in the Eastern Time Zone, dropping their last nine; the last win was at Michigan in 1994 (yes, "The Catch"), 17 years ago today ... This was the third largest crowd (105,096) that a CU team has ever played before (the other two were 106,000+ at Michigan in 1997 and 1994) ... CU had three sacks today giving CU at least one in 35 of its last 36 games ... Colorado has now lost 19 straight road games (20 straight out-of-state including one neutral sitethe '07 Independence Bowl).
LINER NOTES
- WR Tyler McCulloch had his first career touchdown reception (14 yards from Tyler Hansen in the fourth quarter). It came on his fifth career catch.
- OT Alexander Lewis has been practicing some at tight end and saw his first game action at the position; when he did so, he was in #98.
- TE Ryan Deehan had a career-high 71 receiving yards, besting his old high of 70 against Baylor last year (on seven receptions).
- Freshman PK Will Oliver remained perfect on the season (he is 6-of-6 on FG and 11-of-11 on PAT, 29 points). Only Jeremy Flores has made more field goals without missing to start a career at CU than Oliver; Flores made his first seven over the 2001 and 2002 seasons.
- OLB Josh Hartigan recorded a pair of sacks today, giving him four on the season and 11 in his career.
TURNOVER RUN, OR LACK THEREOF, ENDS ... Colorado came into the game one of just eight schools to have committed a single turnover in the first three weeks of the season, but that run ended on the fumbled exchange in the first quarter between Hansen and Stewart. CU went 133:09 between turnovers.
TB RODNEY STEWART (11-55, 0 TD RUSH; 5-27 0 TD RECEIVING; 2-14 PR; 96 ALL-PURPOSE YARDS) He moved into third place on CU's all-time rushing yards list, closing the game with 3,022 yards; he passed Bobby Purify (2000-04; 3,016) and is right behind Rashaan Salaam (1992-94; 3,057) for second. He is still second in career rushes with 692 (Eric Bieniemy leads with 699). His five receptions gives him 71 career receptions, now second most by a running back at Colorado as he passed Lawrence Vickers (2002-05; 68) today. His 702 receiving yards are also second by a running back, as he skipped by Cortlen Johnson (1998-2001, 691) and Lee Rouson (1980-84, 699) today with Herchell Troutman (1994-97, 725) now within his sights.
QB TYLER HANSEN (39-22-0, 238, 2 TD) Hansen moved into seventh place all-time in passing yards at Colorado with 3,972, as he overtook Darian Hagan (3,801) and Steve Vogel (3,912) this afternoon. He now has 357 career completions, moving into fifth all-time at Colorado; he passed John Hessler (347) and Koy Detmer (350) today.
COLORADO INJURIES CB Parker Orms (leg) was injured an did not return; status to be determined. TB Rodney Stewart (shoulder bruise) should be probable for Washington State. OT David Bakhtiari (knee) returned after missing all but seven plays this year and played all 55 snaps at offensive tackle.
OHIO STATE POSTGAME NOTES
Ohio State is 55-5 at Ohio Stadium since the start of the 2002 season.
Ohio State has won 57 consecutive regular-season non-conference home games against teams not ranked in the AP Top 25.
Ohio State moved to 10-3 in its last 13 games against current teams in the new Pac-12.
Ohio State has 822 wins all-time, the fifth-most among FBS teams.

Ohio State outgained Colorado 78-1 on the ground and 78-18 overall in the first quarter.

SERIES NOTES
Ohio State moved to 4-1 all-time against Colorado.
Ohio State won the last meeting with the Buffaloes, 13-10, Sept. 20, 1986 at Ohio Stadium.
OFFENSIVE NOTES
Freshman Braxton Miller made his first start at quarterback for Ohio State.
Miller's 16-yard run in the first quarter was a career long.
Miller threw for a career-high two touchdowns, a 32-yard completion to Devin Smith in the second quarter and a 17-yarder to Smith in the third quarter. Miller's first career touchdown pass also came to Smith in the fourth quarter against Akron.
Miller tallied a career-best 83 rushing yards on a career-high 17 carries.
Jordan Hall scored his first rushing touchdown of the season and third of his career, a 1-yard run in the first quarter.
Hall tallied a career-high 231 all-purpose yards.
Hall recorded a career-high 18 rushing attempts, totaling 84 yards.
Carlos Hyde scored his third career rushing touchdown, a 5-yard run in the third quarter.
Devin Smith caught a career-high two touchdown passes, a 32-yard reception from Braxton Miller in the second quarter and a 17-yarder from Miller in the third quarter.
Reid Fragel tied his career high with two receptions.
The Buckeyes were 5-for-6 in the red zone, with three touchdowns and two field goals.
DEFENSIVE NOTES
The Buffalo offense's average starting possession against the Buckeyes was at its own 18-yard line. Colorado started eight times inside the 20 yard-line, with four of those possessions starting inside the 10-yard line.
Since the beginning of the 2005 season, the Ohio State defense has allowed only 10 100-yard rushers during a span of 80 games and only six since the start of the 2007 season. Both of those marks are the third best among FBS schools during those spans.
OSU has surrendered 127 TDs in 80 games since 2005, the fewest in the FBS in this span. TCU is second with 130 allowed in this span.
Ohio State held Colorado to 3-of-13 on third down conversions.
Storm Klein notched his first career sack in the fourth quarter.
The Silver Bullet Defense forced six three-and-outs and claimed two turnovers against the Buffaloes
The OSU defense did not allow a first down in the entire first quarter and six minutes into the second Colorado claimed its first conversion at 6:55 in the second quarter a 21:55 span of no conversions
Sophomore defensive tackle Adam Bellamy claimed his first career fumble recovery on the Colorado 22-yard line at 6:59 in the opening quarter.
Nineteen Buckeyes recorded tackles in the game.
Sophomore defensive back Christian Bryant led the team with a career-high six tackles with one pass breakup. Freshman Ryan Shazier was second with a career-best five tackles.
The Buffaloes had just two possessions inside the red zone against the Buckeye defense.
Ohio State has only allowed three touchdowns in the second half through the first four games
Ohio State ranks 17th in the nation in passing defense and allowed 238 against the Buffaloes, who came into the game averaging 304.0 yards a game.
The Scarlet and Gray have held 65 opponents to 21 points or fewer since the start of the 2005 season tied with TCU for the most among FBS schools.
The Buckeyes have allowed 119 touchdowns from scrimmage since the start of the 2005 campaign the fewest in the nation among FBS schools in that span.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
Drew Basil's 47-yard field goal in the fourth quarter was the longest of his career.
Basil set his career high with three made field goals.
Jordan Hall's 90-yard kickoff return in the third quarter was the longest of his career.
