QUICKLY Colorado now leads the series by a 13-2 count (8-1 in Tucson, 5-2 when coming off a loss); CU is now 9-1 overall in Tucson counting the '99 Insight.com Bowl, the last time before today the Buffaloes visited the city (a 62-28 CU win over Boston College) … This was game number 200 for Buff head coach Jon Embree: he has 23 as head coach (4-19), 121 as a full-time assistant coach (81-39-1), 12 as a volunteer coach (8-3-1) and 44 as a player (17-27; he missed the ninth and 10th games of his freshman season in 1983 with mono). He is 110-88-2 overall … … The Buffaloes are 56-34-1 in their last 90 November games (50-22 not including the Nebraska rivalry games), and are 51-12 against unranked teams in the month … Colorado is now 3-7 in the coin toss this season and opened on offense for the fifth time … When the Buffs took a 7-0 lead, it marked their first lead since holding a 7-6 edge over Arizona State in the second quarter on Oct. 11 (or a span of 219:30)… The first quarter field goal drive matched the longest drive in terms of plays (15) and was the longest drive of the year (8:18; old: 6:52 vs. USC, a 16-play drive for a FG) … Colorado's time of possession for the game (41:48) was its second most in history; record is 42:17 against Indiana in 1980 (a 49-7 loss in Boulder) … This was the 57th time in school history the Buffaloes rushed and passed for 200 or more yards in a game; CU is now 51-6 in such situations (and 43-3 in the last 46) … The 31 points by the Buffs were their second most this season … CU had a season-high 224 rushing yards.

P DARRAGH O'NEILL (3-40.7, 2 IN20) His first punt of the game, a "rugby rollout", was his first left-footed punt of the year (he had four in 2011); it went for 61 yards which was also his career long. He also now has 44 career punts inside-the-20, tied for fourth all-time t CU.
TRIO OF FIRSTSÂ The 71-yard touchdown pass from QB Connor Wood to TE Scott Fernandez in the fourth quarter was the first reception (and thus TD) of Fernandez' career and the first TD pass of Wood's career.

ALUMNI NEWS Former Buffalo OL Jason Powell ('98) was elected as a Tennessee State Representative (District 53) this past Tuesday. Powell, running for his first political office as a Democrat, defeated his Republican challenger (Ben Claybaker) with 54 percent of the vote (he won by 1700+ votes). He was a walk-on at CU after playing his high school ball in Nashville.
INDIVIDUAL LINER NOTES
PK Will Oliver had seven points today, giving him 100 career points (to become the 45th to score 100 as a Buffalo.
QB John Schrock (Fr.-RS) saw his first action, appearing on the final drive; he is the 22 CU frosh to play in 2012.
DE Will Pericak has now started all 47 games in his career; tying the most starts overall (set by OL Ryan Miller, 2007-11). The most games played by a defensive player is 48 (held by 4).
