TEAM

  • Colorado falls to 16-9 in overall play and 5-9 in Pac-12 play with the 61-56 overtime loss to the Utah Utes.
  • This was the second overtime game of the season for the Buffs with the last coming against UCLA in a 62-54  loss on January 29th.  Colorado is now 19-22 in overtime games in school history.
  • It was the 19th meeting between the two teams with the Utes holding an 11-8 edge.  Colorado has still won 8 of the last 13 meetings. The loss snaps a five-game win streak against Utah in Boulder. 
  • Colorado has been even or out-rebounded its opponent in 19 of 25 games, holding the third ranked rebounding margin in the Pac-12.  The Buffs outrebounded the Utes 38-30.  . 
  • The Buffaloes shot 53.8% from the charity line,  the third lowest free-throw percentage of the season, with the lowest also coming against Utah on December 31st in a game where they shot 42.9%.
  • Colorado drops to 4-2 in games decided by five points or less. 
  • The Buffs continue to get productivity from the bench, with 18 of their 56 points coming from off the bench tonight. 

Chucky Jeffery

  • With 15 points against the Utes, Jeffery now has 1,056 career points, which is good for 23rd all-time at CU.  Tonight she passed Raegan Scott who had 1,045 from 1993-97.
  • Jeffery's seven rebounds against Utah move her to 15th all-time in Colorado history with 562.  Jeffery passed Susan Horner (560, 1977-79) and LeaAnn Banks (561, 1984-86).

Jasmine Sborov

  • Sborov was 2-of-2 on the night and is shooting 59 percent over the last four games (10-of-17). 
  • Sborov made two clutch free-throws in overtime to give the Buffs the 56-55 edge with less than a minute remaining.
