QUICKLY Attendance notes on page 2 ... Game time was 2:20 ... The first three games today in the Pac-12 all went to the road teams (OSU plays at Washington yet); home teams are 42-33 in league play ... Colorado's six Pac-12 losses have all been by 10 points or less (by a combined 39 points, or 6.5 per) ...
Despite ASU's height advantage, the Buffaloes won the rebounding battle with the Sun Devils for the second straight game; on January 6, CU held a slight 40-39 edge (18-11 on the offensive board); tonight, Colorado owned a 41-26 margin, 19-7 on offense. The plus-15 margin was the fifth best for CU in a game this year and the second best in Pac-12 play (+18 versus Stanford) ...
Arizona State held the Buffs to a season-low 35.1 percent from the floor (20-of-57; the previous CU low was in Tempe, 35.3, or 24-of-68)... Meanwhile, the Sun Devils shot 46.0 percent (23-of-50), the second best figure against CU in league play and the best since UCLA shot 51.7 here last month (31-of-60). It was the fourth best shooting performance by an opponent this year against CU.
SERIES Arizona State tied the series at 4-4, winning for the first time in Boulder (where CU now leads, 3-1; the Buffs had outscored ASU 274-205, an average point differential of 23.0 per game before tonight). This was the first 1-point game as well as the first overtime game in the series.
Tad Boyle-coached teams are now 2-3 against the Sun Devils. He is 65-34 in his third season at Colorado (and 42-6 in Boulder).

BEST RECORD AFTER 25 GAMES Colorado at 17-8 is still tied its seventh best mark after 25 games in its history:
19-6 -- 1954-55, 1961-62, 1962-63, 1968-69
18-7 -- 1996-97, 2005-06

16-9 -- 1979-80, 2002-03,
THE "GRIND" PART II Since college basketball expanded schedules to encompass 25 or more games, game numbers 18 through 25 haven't always been that kind to Colorado. In fact, on only seven occasions have the Buffs won as many as six games in that particular eight-game stretch. Despite the loss tonight, CU is 6-2 games 18-25 this season, bested only by 7-1 marks during the 1954-55 and 1961-62 seasons. On the four other occasions, the Buffs went 6-2 in the 18-25 window (1962-63, 1966-67, 2003-04 and 2011-12); in the four seasons that had as many as 26 games, CU lost game No. 26 ('62, '63, '04 and '12).
INDIVIDUAL LINER NOTES
SPENCER DINWIDDIE (24 PTS, 3 AST,2 STL) He has now scored 20 or more points in three straight games for the second time this season (and for his career), and it was his seventh 20-plus point career game. He was 14-of-14 from the free throw line, the third highest 1.000 performance from the FT line in CU history (Jo Jo Hunter and Chauncey Billups share the record with 16-of-16 efforts); Dinwiddie has now made 32 consecutive free throws (school record is 45 by Cory Higgins in 2010-11). It was the eighth time in his career he was perfect with five or more tries and the most he has attempted without a miss; for the season, he is 143-of-176 (a team-best 81.3 percent; he is 76-of-89 in Pac-12 games, 85.4).
ANDRE ROBERSON (8 PTS, 15 REB, 3 STL, 2 AST) With 15 rebounds, he now has 993 career rebounds (295 this season); in second place all-time at Colorado, he is on the heels of catching Stephane Pelle (1,054 from 1999-2003). The 295 boards are tied for 13th most in a single-season, of which he also owns the most (401 last year) and the 12th most (297 in 2010-11). He is now averaging 11.8 per game (295 in 25 games), second nationally entering tonight.
ASKIA BOOKER (17 PTS, 2 AST) He his 7-of-13 field goals, including 3-of-7 threes, breaking out of a four-game slump where he had made just 12-of-52 from the field (23.1%) and 2-of-17 threes.
