QUICKLY Attendance notes on page 2 ... Game time was 1:48 ... F Josh Scott (concussion) sat out the game, still suffering symptoms from a concussion suffered against Arizona State; he had started the first 25 games of his career before his first inaction tonight ... Celebrity sightings: Former Buff and current New England Patriot OT Nate Solder was present tonight ... Five were awarded Honorary C Awards at halftime for their contributions to Colorado Athletics: Mike Bohn (athletic director), Karl Eggert (longtime Events Center employee), Bob Foss (longtime volunteer at CU track events), Larry Reifschneider (longtime athletic facilities assistant) and John Templeton (university and athletic audio/visual technician for 40 years) ... ANDRE ROBERSON (10 PTS, 13 REB, 4 STL, 2 BLK) This was his 36th career-double, the 11th of the season. It was the 49th game in his career with 10 or more rebounds (out of 100). He became just the second Buffalo to record 1,000 career rebounds, ending the game with 1,006 (308 this season); in second place all-time at Colorado, he is on the heels of catching Stephane Pelle (1,054 from 1999-2003). The 308 boards are the 10th most in a single-season, of which he also owns the most (401 last year) and the 13th most (297 in 2010-11). He is now averaging 11.8 per game (308 in 26 games), tops in the nation. He remains third in career blocked shots (146) and seventh in career steals (156).
SABATINO CHEN (12 PTS, 4 REB) The 12 points marked the second most of his CU career (and the most in Boulder); his career high occurred earlier this year at Arizona (15).
ATTENDANCE Tonight's crowd of 9,823 was the third smallest of the season, largely due to the weather conditions as over 10,000 tickets were sold ... The only two that were smaller came against Texas Southern (8,325 the last week in November) and against UCLA (9,696 on Jan. 12, same day as the Broncos-Ravens AFC Divisional playoff). CU has had 10 crowds over 10,000 this year and 12 over 9,000, both school bests. The total for 13 home games to 134,766, the second highest gross total in school history; the 10,367 average works to 94 percent of capacity (11,064) of the Coors Events Center this season. Under Tad Boyle, the Buffs have now enjoyed the best three consecutive years in attendance numbers ever (averaging 8,162 for 49 games; no previous coach averaged over 6,500 for a three-year run).
