September 28, 2013 | Football
Colorado had scored in its first nine quarters this year and 13 in a row dating back to the final game (Utah) of 2012 before it was shutout in the second stanza today … CU has made two 2-point conversions this year, matching the total in 2010 which are the most since converting four in 2002 … Colorado did force Oregon State into six three-and-outs; that's 20 for the CU defense in thre games (it had 29 all of last year); and the Buffs came into the game averaging 7.0 per game, fourth-best in the nation … Big national news today is that USC is bringing only 56 scholarship players to Arizona State; CU brought 59 here, and that doesn't include five former walk-ons who were awarded scholarships (57 of the 70 players overall on the trip go into the game).
WR PAUL RICHARDSON (5-70-1 TD)Â Richardson's 26 receptions in three games are one short of the school mark for the most over a three-game span (27, Charles E. Johnson, 1992) and it also left him with 99 career grabs, one shy of becoming the 12th player in CU history to snare 100.
--He has 16 career TD receptions, which have covered 641 yards, or 40.1 per; his grab today covered 28 yards.
--For the year, "P-Rich" now has 26 catches for 487 yards, 18.7 per, with five touchdowns.
QB CONNOR WOOD (34-14-2, 146, 2 TD)Â Â Wood has thrown for the fifth most yards in a three-game span in CU history with 146 yards this afternoon:
