Colorado-UCLA Quotes

October 25, 2014 | Football

Colorado Head Coach Mike MacIntyre

General
"What a game. I tip my hat to UCLA for winning it; they did a heck of a job. I tip my hat to our players and coaches, what a game, what a battle. I'd like to have some boring games and win them since we have so many exciting games, but keep losing them. Those kids are fighting hard and getting better and better. The process is still going on. All I could think about when it ended was what I was going to tell those young men when I get back in that locker room and I see those big, crocodile tears along with the effort, hard work, blood and sweat. Sometimes life is not fair. That was a game, but I do believe that football teaches character and reveals character. I think that our team has great character. They'll keep battling and we'll bounce back and start getting these."

On Injuries to Tedric Thompson and Marques Mosley
"If you're a praying person, please pray for Tedric [Thompson]. When they took him off he was moving, but he was really scared. Hopefully everything is going to be alright with him and Marques Mosley. We had those couple of injuries today."

On the End of the First Half
"When our guy went out of bounds, the referee went like this [waving hands above head], so we all thought the clock was stopped. He marked the first down, but then started the clock up again. When I ended up seeing that, I tried to get Sefo [Liufau] to spike it, but he got confused and then the clock ran out. So that's my fault on that. That's exactly what happened, to a tee. We saw him go out of bounds and stop the clock, but then he [the official] went and started it up again. We have to keep watching him to see what's going on. If we could have spiked that, we could have gotten the field goal off. So I take complete responsibility for the miscommunication."

On Colorado's Running Attack
"We ran really well and the offensive line did a great job. We felt we could run it on them coming into the game and we just kept getting after it. The offensive line did well, the running backs stayed fresh and started breaking tackles and making plays. It was fun to watch."

On Defending Hundley during the Second Overtime
"The first time he ran a draw, we played it correctly, ran a stunt and he made a guy miss. The next one we ran a stunt and the young man didn't step outside for the quarterback. We had the stunt for that play, exactly what they ran and we didn't execute it."

On Defensive Struggles in the First Half
"We have to play better. On their long touchdown run, we lined up wrong. We didn't line up wrong once this week, not one time. We lined up in that set at least 50 times. We just have to get past the nerves line up and play right."

On the Play of Will Oliver
"We know that he can make them, he just had one bad day. He's a heck of a kicker and did some good things today."

On How Draining these Close Games Are
"They're pretty draining. That's why I talk about the resilience of our guys and our coaching staff, they just keep bouncing back. As you're rebuilding a program, these things happen. This happened to us a lot a San Jose State for the first couple of years and then we started winning them all, so we'll get there. We're not where we used to be, we're not where we want to be, but we're definitely on the way, there's no doubt about that."

On Getting Back on Track after Last Week
"I knew we'd come back and play well. Last week, we just spotted them 28 points and played them toe-to-toe after that, and we can't do that. We almost did that today, but we just kept battling and kept fighting. I saw a change in our team today, which he hadn't done before really. In the fourth quarter and we had the momentum, we threw a pick, but we went and stopped them. I saw a change in our football team in a Pac-12 game against a top-25 team and I was proud of that. Of course, we're definitely hurting from the ending and dying inside from it. It will hurt for a while, but I think it was a microcosm of how far we've come."

UCLA Head Coach Jim Mora

Opening Comments
"Okay, we wanted to see what overtime felt like. We haven't had one. You know, keeping it interesting, you know I think that's kinda who we are right now. Fight and scrap and we are not perfect, got a lot of growing to do but we are resilient and we know how to win on the road. We are 5-0 on the road. We won our first overtime game and there is a lot to improve on as always, that's about it."

On What Has To Change Over The Next Few Weeks
"You mean winning Well, we're 6- 2. So I hope nothing changes. I hope we keep winning. Cause winning is the objective in competitive sports and we won. Now we will go back and evaluate everything but boy I hope nothing changes in terms of the result because I like winning."

On Putting Teams Away
"We're young. We're learning. We're a young team. Like I told you guys last week we have six scholarship seniors. We're learning how to do things the right way. It's not always going be a smooth ride. But, we're winning, we're 6-2. With this group we are 5-0 on the road. I'll take that. Here's what I told the team. We have to find a way when we get a team where we feel like we got them to not, I feel like at times we take a little exhale instead of doing that. I think that has a lot to do with, and I'm not using this as an excuse, this is just what I believe, our youth at times. I think that the three worst words that you can use are 'I got it' or 'I got them' or 'we got it'. I think at times we fall into that trap and so the message was to them was, love the resilience love the win but we've got to move past that. We've got to move past that part of our deal and we will. We're going to do it. As long as we pile wins while we're learning how to do that, that's a good thing."

On Stiffer Competition Upcoming
"Great, we'll rise up to it like we always do."

On Fourth Quarter 4th Down Play
"I thought we could make it. No. 1, it was a yard, we've been pretty good with that group. No. 2, if you go up six a touchdown beats you. If you go up three a touchdown beats you. It was about a 38 yarder, right hash into the wind. So I felt like the right thing to do was to go for it right there and unfortunately we didn't get it."

On Limiting Penalties
"I'm not going to talk about penalties. I'm not going to talk about penalties. I think there's things that people need to do with regards to penalties. But, I'm not going to talk about penalties, I mean that's a joke."

On QB Brett Hundley's Performance
"He was a little off. The ball was sailing on him a little bit. Ran the ball well. He ran for over 100 yards but the throws, he wasn't as crisp as he's been."

On The Play Of Colorado's Offense
"Well, I think we started out playing really well on defense and then they got the run going a little bit and that helped them. We were getting after the quarterback but he hung in there and was very resilient and made some plays down the field."

On Colorado's Adjustments
"Just ran the ball a little bit better."

On Hundley's Performance Potentially Being Affected By Altitude And Wind
"I hate to say that, but the ball was sailing. You can't blame the wind or the altitude. Altitude doesn't matter when you're throwing the ball. He just wasn't as sharp as he normally is. "

On The Play Of RB Paul Perkins, Particularly His 92-yard Run
"That was nice. I was hoping he could make it, he was chugging and they couldn't catch him. I think he ended up with 180 yards rushing. I don't know if that pushes him closer to 1,000 but he's having a good year. He's not the biggest guy in the world. He's not a 230 pound back so hits take a little bit of a toll on him at times. So that's why it's good that we put James in there and get Nate Starks in there."

On Colorado's Play From The 4th Quarter And Overtime
"They ran the ball well in the fourth quarter. The quarterback made some throws. I'm not going to comment on their imagination, they were just calling plays and we were just making plays. We just played better. They were calling the same plays and the same strategy, nothing changes with regards to that, they were sticking with what had worked for them our guys just made plays."

On UCLA's Play In Overtime
"It was our first overtime game in over two and a half years. We practice this all of the time. People think it's weird at times because it's just red zone offense and red zone defense but we try to put ourselves in those situations where there is some pressure but there's always pressure but there's a little added pressure and I just felt like we would respond. We kind of grew, when our backs are up against the wall in a game and it's been tight at the end we found a way to win it except for once and that was the Utah game where we had a shot and didn't get it done."

On His Message To His Team
"It's both but we won. It's hard, you know what I mean You go back and forth and you vacillate in your message which I don't necessarily like to do because you just won a game. You're 5 and 0 [on the road], you won on the road in the PAC 12. It's never gonna be easy. We started out fast and they came back and we had to win it in overtime so you're proud of the resilience but you're always gonna search for, whether you win or you lose, whether you play great or you play poorly you're always searching for ways to get better. That never changes. So your message has to reflect that type of attitude, that type of culture."

On The Transformation Of The OL And Conor McDermott
"I think that Conor going in, Scotty Quessenberry is kind of a guy who really made a jump. Malcom Bunche moving into guard feeling some pressure behind him with Alex Redmond who was now ready to go but didn't play today. Simon Goines being back, putting some pressure on the tackles, I think it's a real competitive group right now. I think they're playing really well. Brett had pretty good protection today. I think we ran the ball really well and seemed solid. A couple false starts that we need to knock out. We'll see about the holds, we never get holding calls on our defensive line. I've never seen anything like it, I guess that's just the way it goes. But I want to keep seeing them getting better, I think you're right that Conor has a lot to do with it. He's very solid on that left side, very athletic."

On Team's Youth
"This helps them grow up. You know what I mean I'm not going to give them the out of youth. I'm just telling you there's a reason okay, it can't be an excuse or an out or 'oh hey we're just young' you never say that to them. But I think games like this, helps you down the road. They believe they can win the close one, they know how to win the close one, whether it's at home or on the road, whether it's a great team or it's a team they should just crush. They didn't come in there jubilant. They understand what we need to do. They understand about taking ownership about their responsibilities as we all do. I'm talking about players and coaches. And we're going to do that. I like where we're at in terms of our record, certainly I'd love to be undefeated but we're a resilient crew and we are going fix some things up and see how it ends up."

On Whether The Team Is Playing Younger Than Expected
"No not me, I think that going in we knew how youthful this team was. But we got to push past that, it's time with eight games in, I don't want to use that. I'm giving you a reason, I'm not giving you an excuse but we got to push past it."

On The Big Win
"Every win is huge no matter how you get it every win is huge. Wins are hard to come by and it's big. We're keeping ourselves alive and that's the key."

Colorado Players

QB Sefo Liufau
ON THE GAME "[They're taking it] pretty hard. It's always tough losing a close game, especially one you fight back from. This isn't the first time it's happened this year so I think it hits home a little harder. It's tough; I don't know what to say. We just have to come back next week and work. That's all you really can do. You can't hang your head. You just have to keep fighting through. Sometimes in life, things don't always go your way but you just have to keep going."

ON THE PENALTY AT THE END OF THE SECOND QUARTER - "I talked to the ref at the end of the half. They said they stopped the clock because we got a first down but that it was going to roll as soon as the chains were set because it was forward progress. So, we thought that he stepped out of bounds and we got the clock stop. We would have had a play off. I improvised but we had a false start which is unfortunate. It's just a matter of communication there. Other than that, we still fought back and came back in the game. It was on 15 seconds [when I first saw it] and I kept looking back at the sidelines to see if we they were going to call anything. I decided to improvise but like I said, we had that false start."

ON THE LOSS - "I don't think it ever gets easier. You can't say that if you constantly lose that it never gets easier. It hurts and it should hurt if you actually care about your team, it hurts the guys. We've been in every game except for one this whole year and it's tough to keep going and keep fighting and coming up short but we're a lot more resilient this year than last year and we'll put our heads down and get back to work next week."

ON THE FIRST HALF - "I doesn't help that we were slow against USC last week. We just have to come out faster. The defense did a really good job. It's just matter of the offense and being able to put together drives, giving them a break off of the fire. Bye week, no bye week, we shouldn't come out slow in any game. We should come out with fire."

ON THE WIND DURING TODAY'S GAME "I don't think [the wind was a factor]. I never noticed it. Obviously one of my balls was too high and I threw a pick. That's just me losing the ball mid throw. I don't want to say that the wind factors were a problem. It was just me."

TB Tony Jones
ON HIS EMOTIONS AS A SENIOR "It's devastating. It's devastating when you put your work in all this week and come out and lose at the end of the game. It hurts and we do that but at the same time we're just going to keep fighting. We're going to put this behind us and look forward to next week."

"My belief will never be damaged. I love these guys. I went through the spring game and summer training with these guys, blood, sweat and tears. I will never stop losing trust in these guys. I trust these guys every day of my life. I'm around them five hours a day so I never lose belief in them. I always have faith in my team, I always have faith in my coaches and I always have faith in this school."

PK Will Oliver
ON HIS PERFORMNACE TODAY COMPARED TO THE CAL GAME - "Personally, it still sucks. We win as a team, we lose as a team. No matter how the personal performances go, I think it's important to keep that in mind. Again, one for one every week, that's the goal. I'm pleased that we were able to execute that this week. Nonetheless, it's bad as it could be to lose."

ON HIS OVERTIME FIELD GOAL - "It was just like any other kick. You go out there and you're one for one every single kick. It's a completely independent event. You could kick 100 in a row and still miss the next one. You could miss 100 in a row and still make the next one. That has to be your mindset going forward and you can't remember anything about the past whether it goes well or not."

ON THE PENALTY AT THE END OF THE SECOND QUARTER - "I think we were hoping that at the end of the half we'd be able to get some points off of that turnover. But, it panned out the way that it did and you never know what's going to happen. You score those points but maybe you don't come out in the second half with the same amount of energy. So, I think that really fired us up. We were all pretty angry about that whatever the reason, so we were all looking forward to moving forward and keeping this a game."

ON ATMOSPHERE IN THE LOCKER ROOM - "We're really down right now. We're really frustrated. It's tough to get so close, especially against a team like UCLA, and not be able to get the win. Improvement doesn't really mean anything until you turn it into numbers in the left column. We're really focused on moving forward. We have a great opportunity next week. This one hurts now, but we really got to take it and make the best out of it."

ON EXECUTING FIELD GOALS "We were pleased that we were able to execute. You feel pressure every time you kick, but it's our job as kickers to quell the pressure, and focus on just that kick and our technique. I'm there, I'm part of the team, and I'm focused on doing what I'm asked at the time I'm asked."

TB Michael Adkins
ON RUSHING FOR OVER 100 YARDS "It's definitely a testament to the O-line blocking well and getting on their blocks. They opened up some real big holes for me, and it allowed me to be successful today."

ON BEING MORE PRODUCTIVE IN THE RUNNING GAME "It's good, the main thing is being productive and helping your team win. Any time you rush for over 100 yards, it gives the team a chance and I just definitely want to give credit to the O-line today."

ON WHAT CONTRIBUTED TO THE RUSHING PERFORMANCE TODAY "I think we prepared well throughout the week. We had a good feel for what UCLA does, and we as a running back group with our eyes (looking for holes) are improving in that area, and that is allowing us to break off runs and get yards."

ON WHAT THE TEAM WILL TAKE AWAY FROM THIS GAME "It's been tough for us losing these close games, but the main thing is we have to keep our faith and keep our faith in God because at the end of the day he has the final say in everything and he will help push us through this."

WR Bryce Bobo
ON THE DISSAPOINTMENT FELT BY THE TEAM "It's a real downer, you know we thought we had the win and obviously that wasn't the case. I kind of put it on myself, there was a time in the fourth quarter with like a minute left, we were on I think the 25-yard line and we ran a slant and I dropped the ball and it ended up being a fourth down and we had to kick the field goal instead of scoring a touchdown (to take the lead). I just feel bad for my teammates."

ON WHAT LED TO THE COMEBACK "That's just like every week. We are a team that doesn't give up on any type of play or against anyone that we play. Last week against USC, I don't really know what happened, but this is what we are about, we're about never giving up and that's what we did today."

ON HIS PERFORMANCE TODAY CONTRIBUTING TWO TOUCHDOWNS "It felt good to finally contribute as much as possible to the team, and try to come out with a win. Scoring two touchdowns and everything, I just try my best, and whatever the coaches ask me, I'm going to do it."

CB Greg Henderson
ON THE PAIN FELT OF LOSING ANOTHER CLOSE GAME "It does hurt, we put in so much work in the offseason and during the season, so these close games we definitely want to win those."

ON UCLA QB BRETT HUNDLEY SCRAMBLING FOR THE GAME-WINNING TOUCHDOWN "They didn't give us a different look. We knew that Hundley is a really good quarterback, and he was going to put the ball in his hands and try to win the game for his team. We just messed up on an assignment and just missed him, and he won the game for them."

ON WHETHER HE WAS PLEASED WITH THE DEFENSE'S PERFORMANCE "Yeah, I definitely was, besides the first drive and that long run, we definitely held them, held their run, held their past game. We were getting three-and-outs and getting off the field, so I know we did a good job."

OL Gerrad Kough
ON FIRST CAREER START- "I feel as an offensive line we did well. They had a good defensive front and great linebackers, but we fought hard for the whole game. I was a little nervous, but I just went out there and acted like I was supposed to be out there."

ON SOLID RUSHING GAME "We just try to play physical and try to get after it. That's what we've been working on all week in practice. We just work hard, watch as much film as we can, and try to be prepared."

ILB Brady Daigh
ON THE DEFENSIVE EFFORT "I thought we played a good second half. Putting the whole game together is something this team has to work on. We have to come out fast and finish strong at the end if we want to play two good halves of football."

ON STEPPING UP IN PLACE OF ADDISON GILLAM "Coach Mac always stresses that roles change constantly, so I really bought into that and practice hard. When a great player like Addison goes down you got big shoes to fill."

ON THE LATE-GAME INJURIES- "It's definitely tough, but it's part of football. You're going to experience injuries, and playing through them is what the great teams do. It's unfortunate but others have to be able to step up."

ON HIS OWN INDIVIDUAL PLAY- "I'm pleased, but never really satisfied. There are a bunch of plays that I can correct, so I'll look at the film and see what I can improve on."

ON LOSING A CLOSE GAME "It seems like every week, we are saying, 'We're that close to finishing, that close to winning games out here,' and minus last week it seems like that's happened every week. So, as a team we just have to learn how to finish and really come together at the end of games."

ON UCLA QB BRETT HUNDLEY SCRAMBLING FOR THE GAME-WINNING TOUCHDOWN "That's a tough play, and that last one kind of falls squarely on my shoulders. We've been working that cut-back dive all game and I closed in to play that and Hundley just came outside. He's a great player, really good quarterback, one of the best in the Pac-12, so you have to credit him on that."

ON WHETHER HE WAS PLEASED WITH THE DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE "I thought we played a good second half, but putting a whole game together is something this team still has to learn. I think we're getting closer, but we kind of started like we did last week (getting down multiple touchdowns early). We need to come out and start fast, finish strong, and play two full halves of football."

ON HAVING TO REPLACE LB Addison Gillam WHO LEFT THE GAME WITH FLU-LIKE SYMPTONS "Coach Mac [Mike MacIntyre] is always stressing that on us that roles change constantly. So, I've kind of bought into that and I practice really hard, I practice like I'm a starter every week. When a great player like Addison goes down, you have big shoes to fill and I've done my best to do that."

ON HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO BE PLAYING IN OT WITHOUT THREE DEFENSIVE STARTERS (INJURIES) "It's tough, but that's part of football. Everyone is going to experience injuries and playing through them is what the great teams do, that's what the teams that get the 'W's' at the end do. It's unfortunate to lose guys like that, they are all great players, but we have to step up and the guys that step in have to make plays at the end."

DL Derek McCartney
ON THE CLOSE LOSS - "It's definitely getting old. We're definitely frustrated and we were close and we really wanted to get that win. Anyone in our situation would be frustrated right now. I think it's difficult every time. I don't know one that's worse than the other. It sucks, losing. We're going to keep our heads up and we're going to keep going next week. It does feel like that sometimes. You feel like you're right there and you're going to win that game. But something happens. Life is disappointing sometimes so you just have to get up and keep moving."

ON IF THE CLOSE LOSSES MOTIVATE THE TEAM - "We know that we're almost there. We didn't need all of these close games, losses to know that. It's definitely something that encourages you to know that you're there. "We worked really hard this week and we executed a lot of things that the coaches put in. We're trying to just keep moving and working and go play Washington next week."

ON THE LAST PLAY OF OVERTIME - "They were in quarterback draw and they bounced it and it hurts our run on the next play so we just had to play better defense."

ON THE DEFENSE'S SLOW STARTS DURING THE LAST THREE GAMES "We just have to get ourselves going earlier. Like you said, it's been three games in a row now and that can't happen because it puts us in a bad situation at the end of the game. We're going to get better from it and we're going to keep going."

ON BRETT HUNDLEY'S PERFORMANCE - "He is really good. You rush too high, he'll go underneath you. You try to come under, then he's going to go around the outside. He's a dual threat and it's tough to play against that."

ON THE FANS MOVING AROUND THE STANDS TO FOLLOW THE TEAM - "That was really cool. It's not something I've experienced before. Our fans are awesome. They stayed the whole time and they were in it and it was a lot of fun for us to see that."

UCLA Players

WR Jordan Payton
ON IMPORTANCE OF OVERTIME WIN - "It was a tough win. Overtime wins make a team, so it was big for us. It was our first overtime win and we practiced that a lot. It felt like it was just like practice. We're just happy that we got the win."

ON WIND IN FIRST HALF - "We talked about it on the sideline. We had to snap the ball down up here [Colorado] because it will sail on you. We saw that the first couple of plays in the first quarter and then we just kind of fixed it later on."

ON QB BRETT HUNDLEY'S PERFORMANCE - "I think he had a good game. I'm not his quarterback coach or anything so I can't really tell you. All I know is I had 5 for 65 [receptions] and a touchdown so I think he played really well."

ON OFFENSE SLOWING DOWN IN SECOND HALF - "I think it was more on our side. I'm trying to recall what was going on in the second half but penalties got us, they killed us. I know at times it was 3rd and 5 and a penalty would push us to 3rd and 15 which is almost impossible. So, we had a lot of penalties and careless mistakes on our end. We just have to go back and correct it."

ON GAME TURNING POINT- "There definitely was. I think Colorado stayed hungry the whole game which is what you want as a team. For us, we stayed in the game the whole time and stayed resilient through all of the nonsense that was happening to us with the penalties. We stayed resilient which is the type of team that we are. We just kept fighting and pulled out a big win in double overtime."

ON OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR'S COMMENTS BEFORE OVERTIME - "Our offensive coordinator told us, "just go out and score and do things right." It's pretty simple and that's what we did."

ON HAVING POSSESSION AFTER CU IN SECOND OVERTIME -"That's credit to our defense. They bailed us out of a lot today. They played extremely well like they've been playing all year. They did a great job holding them to those three points which kept this game going."

ON IMMENSITY OF WIN
"It's huge. To get a win on the road in the Pac-12 is always hard to do. To win here in double overtime is huge."

LB Eric Kendricks
ON LETTING DOWN WITH BIG LEADS - "I don't know. We have to definitely put the pressure on especially when we are up 17-0 in the first quarter. We have to not be complacent and we have to put it on them. That's on us and we are going to fix that so I'm not worried about it."

ON FIXING LETTING DOWN WITH BIG LEADS - "That's up to them. They were playing their game but I think we had a turnover and we can't do that. That's on offense. But to speak for defense we have to stop them. They started running the ball when we thought they were going to pass it. We have to be better than that."

ON HELPING YOUNGER PLAYERS GROW - "Absolutely, especially on third downs that is where we need to buckle down. We had a lot of third downs and fourth downs too. We have to make those plays for our offense and for our team."

QB Brett Hundley
OVERALL THOUGHTS - "It was a tough fought win. It wasn't the greatest game, personally either. At the end of the day it doesn't matter who we're playing we have to win. That's the good part about it but it was hard fought."

OVER PERSONAL FIRST QUARTER SUCCESS VERSUS REST OF GAME - "I think it was being able to deliver a ball where it needs to be. At first it was there, and then it sort of just started to get away from me. You can make excuses but you have to stick to it."

ON HIGH WIND - "To be honest it wasn't there warming up. Whatever it is no matter what the weather is we have to be able to hit those."

ON TEAM'S SECOND HALF PERFORMANC E - "It was static-y. We got out of rhythm sometimes and we have to learn to fix those things to get back in the rhythm no matter if we're sitting on the sidelines for a lengthy amount of time. We have to be able to get back into the game and keep rolling."

ON CU'S DEFENSE HINDERING SECOND HALF SUCCESS - "Not really. They sort of took the same approach as last week playing a lot of off [coverage]. They played man which was good for them and they did a great job at it but they played a lot of off coverage."

OVERTIME THOUGHTS - "It is just more football. Like I said, it was a hard fought win and it went to double overtime. We came up with the "W" and the defense did a great job in the second overtime keeping them to the field goal and we got that touchdown."

ON SECOND OVERTIME PLAYS - "The second one technically I was supposed to pull that ball but it happens we scored a touchdown. We had been talking about it and it's never really supposed to be pulled but the whole game the defense was flowing and one time they made the wrong move so it worked out."

ON THROWS FLOATING - "Yeah they were and I have to be able to drive those balls. You can't use any of those excuses about wind. I don't like doing that. You have to be able to fight through it as a quarter back and be able to pull those balls down and figure out a way to get those done."

ON LETTING TEAMS BACK INTO GAMES - "I think we just have to learn to put our foot down on people. We had a pretty good lead starting out the game and we have to learn as a team to just finish people off and not let them slowly just stay in the game. We have to kill them right then and there. You have to; you just have to put the game away."

ON FIXING BEING UNABLE TO PUT AWAY TEAMS - "You have to be able to fix it. No matter if it's beginning of the season, middle, end, you have to be able to finish games. Luckily a lot of these close games we came out on top but it'd be good for us to be able to put teams away and we have to find a way to do that."

ON IMPORTANCE OF WIN - "It was big for us. A win is a win. Colorado played a great game and kudos to them. They did everything they could and they had a good time. For us, we pulled out the victory. We're 6-2 and we still are in the hunt for things."
