Buffs Earn USTFCCCA Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS-- The University of Colorado track and field team placed 10 individuals on the USTFCCCA All-Academic team and the women's team earned All-Academic team status.

Morgan Pearson, Adam Peterman and Ben Saarel earned the honor on the men's side, while seven women were named to the team: Maddie Alm, Kaitlyn Benner, Mackenzie Caldwell, Erin Clark, Abby Levene, Lindsy Mattson and Sara Sutherland.

Individual athletes must have a GPA of 3.25 and have met either of the following athletic standards: for the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org; for the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).

To qualify for the team award, the squad must have a team cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better. CU's women recorded a 3.19 GPA. A total of 224 women's teams and 123 men's teams earned the distinction.
