BOULDER – Recent University of Colorado graduate and four-year letter winner Jasmine Sborov has been named an assistant women's basketball coach at Harvard University.
Sborov played in 108 games for Colorado from 2011-15, helping the Buffaloes to three postseason appearances including the 2013 NCAA Tournament. She was the team captain as a senior and enjoyed an all-around solid season averaging 6.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
A native of Round Rock, Texas, Sborov, will join Kathy Delaney-Smith's staff that led the Crimson to a 14-14 mark in 2014-15. Current CU assistant Kelly Rae Finley was on Delaney-Smith's staff from 2008-12 and the Buffs' director of operations Miriam Rutzen played for Harvard from 2009-13.
Sborov graduated this past May from Colorado with her bachelor's degree in Sociology. She was part of the WBCA's “So, You Want To Be A Coach” program at the association's national convention in April. Sborov launched her coaching career by working with AAU programs in the Boulder area during her playing career.
A nominee for the 2015 AllState WBCA Good Works Team, Sborov was a vital part of Colorado women's basketball's community service efforts during her career. She was named Colorado's Ceal Barry Pride Award winner following the 2014-15 season.
