TEAM RUSHING LAURELS (59-390, 5 TD)Â Today marked the 45th time CU has had two players run for 100-plus yards in game (three have done it twice in a game, the last time in 1980).
- The last time CU rushed for over 300 yards in a game was on Sept. 22, 2007 against Miami-Ohio in Boulder (63-359); it was the most since the last time the Buffs ran for 400 yards (48-427) at Kansas on Oct. 12, 2002.
- CU scored its first six offensive touchdowns of the year via the rush before the Liufau-to-Spruce TD pass; you have to go back to 1990 to find the last time with a higher number (7).
- CU last scored five rushing TDs in a game 2013 (vs. Charleston Southern).
- Colorado averaged 9.1 yards per first down rushing play – picking up five or more yards 19 times in 28 tries.
TB MICHAEL ADKINS (19-125, 1TD) He had his fourth career 100-yard game and with 1,148 career yards, jumped from 50th to 42nd on CU's all-time list.
TB CHRISTIAN POWELL (8-105, 2 TD) He enjoyed both his fifth 100-yard and fifth multi-TD game; he now has 1,815 career yards, trying to become the 18th Buff to reach 2,000 (he's 23rd all-time); he has 16 career rushing TDs.
WR NELSON SPRUCE (6-64, 1 TD) He set the CU career mark for receptions with 219, overtaking Scotty McKnight (215, 2007-10). With 64 receiving yards, he now has 2,427 for his career, passing Paul Richardson (2,412) into fifth; he needs just 122 to leapfrog all the way into first. He now has 20 career TDs are, two shy of McKnight's record, and he has caught at least one pass in 27 straight games (multiple in 22 straight; matching the school mark set by Rae Carruth, who caught two or more in 22 games over the 1995-96 seasons).Â
INDIVIDUAL LINER NOTES
- PK Diego Gonzalez (5-5 PAT, 2-2 FG). He is off to a perfect start as CU's placekicker, as he now 7-of-7 on PAT kicks and 4-of-4 on field goals.Â

He rushed for two more first downs today to give him 10 on the season… which includes picking up six on third down runs (in eight tries). He scored his first career rushing TD today, but did have one receiving (at Arizona last year from Nelson Spruce).
