Colorado-Washington Notes
January 21, 2016 | Men's Basketball
Washington improves its series lead over Colorado to 11-9 and has won 8-of-10 in Seattle. The Huskies now hold a 4-3 series edge since the Buffaloes joined the Pac-12 in 2011-12.
Colorado was outrebounded for just the third time this season (39-34) and recorded a season-low with 34 rebounds. The Buffaloes are 0-3 when they are outrebounded.
Washington's 15 blocks set a Colorado opponent single-game record. The previous mark of 13 had been done twice, at Arizona State (Jan. 6, 2013) and vs. Yale (Nov. 25, 1999).
Colorado gave up a season-high 95 points, its most in a regulation game since a 95-90 loss at Iowa State on March 2, 2011 (Washington State had 96 on March 7, 2015 in overtime).
Dominique Collier (21 points, 6-7 3FG, 3 assists) scored a career-high 21 points, surpassing his previous mark of 14 against Oregon last season. He also had personal bests in 3-point field goals made and attempted and overall field goals (6). Collier's six 3-pointers are a team season high and he has made 8 of his last 10 from downtown. He's the fourth different Buff to lead the team in scoring this year.
Josh Scott (18 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks, 7-9 FG) recorded his 34th career double-double, seventh all-time at CU. The double-double was his 11th of the season – ranking second in the Pac-12 – and his fifth straight, tying a personal best overall streak, and marking his best string in conference games.
Wesley Gordon (6 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks) moves into a tie for fifth place on Colorado's career list for blocked shots at 131 with Poncho Hodges (1991-93).
