With the win, Colorado has surpassed its regular season win total from 2014-15 (14-16) in 10 fewer games. The Buffaloes will look to win their overall win total from last season (16-18) Wednesday vs. Stanford.

Colorado improves its series lead over Washington State to 7-2; 6-1 as a member of the Pac-12.

Colorado, the top free throw shooting team in the Pac-12, showed why against Washington State. The Buffaloes hit 22-of-26 from the line (.846) including 12-of-13 in the second half (.923). It marked the sixth time this year Colorado had made 80 percent or better from the charity stripe. By contrast, Washington State made just 16-of-27 from the line (.593).

Colorado held the advantage on the boards, 37-33, marking the 17th time in 20 games the Buffaloes have won the rebounding battle.

Colorado tied its season low with six turnovers. The Buffs had just one turnover in the first 20 minutes, their best mark in any half this season.

George King (22 points, 5 rebounds, 4-of-6 3FG, 6-of-6 FT) recorded his fourth career 20-point game. He has made 12-of-22 (.545) over his last five outings. King tied his personal best with four 3-point field goals made and his 6-of-6 from the free throw line is his best without a miss which also ties a team season high.

Xavier Talton (8 points, 2 assists, 4-of-4 FT) hit two free throws with 19 seconds left that gave the Buffs a 73-70 lead. Talton has made his last 10 attempts, all in the last three games. He has made 24-of-25 on the season (.960). He is averaging 7.7 points over the last three outings. Talton appeared in his 121st career game, ranking 8th on Colorado's all-time leaderboard.

Josh Scott (11 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, 5-of-6 FG) saw his string of double-doubles end at five, but still put up efficient numbers in 28 minutes. He did most of his damage in the second half. Scott picked up his second foul with 10:11 left in the first half and sat the remainder of the period. He stormed back with nine points and five rebounds in the final 20 minutes.

Wesley Gordon (8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals) moved into 22nd in career rebounding with 556 passing frank Gampert who had 554 from 1950-53.

Tory Miller (4 points, 7 rebounds) matched his Pac-12 season high with seven rebounds. Three of them came on the offensive end, his third straight game reaching that figure. Miller is averaging 6.3 rebounds over the past three games.
