Pearl Street Stampede Set Wednesday Night

BOULDER – With the Colorado Buffaloes kicking off Thursday at 7 p.m. against UCLA, the Pearl Street Stampede will be moved up to Wednesday at 7 p.m. on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder.
The team, led by the Golden Buffalo Marching Band and CU's spirit squads (cheerleaders, dance team and Chip), will all be in attendance for the pep rally. The Stampede will begin at the Boulder County Courthouse and head west to the end of the walking mall at 11th and Pearl.
The Buffs are currently ranked No. 21 in the Associated Press poll and No. 20 in the USA Today/Coaches poll. They were also ranked No. 15 on Tuesday by the College Football Playoff committee.
CU holds a 6-2 overall record and is currently atop the Pac-12 South with a 4-1 conference record.
The Stampede and Thursday's game will kick off a busy weekend for the Buffs.
Friday the women's soccer team, currently ranked No. 22 with a 14-5 overall record (8-3 Pac-12) will take on No. 23 Utah at 3 p.m. at Prentup Field in CU's regular season game. All six seniors on the roster will be honored at the game.
Friday evening, the volleyball team will take on Stanford at 6 p.m. at the Coors Events Center. Volleyball will return back to the court on Sunday at noon to take on California.
