Leonard, Moore Named Female Athletes of the Week

BOULDER -- This week's Athletes of the Week are co-female winners, Kennedy Leonard
(basketball) and Marie Moore (lacrosse). Leonard recorded 21 points, two
rebounds, and four assists last week in the women's basketball first round of the
Pac-12 Tournament against Washington. Moore was a big part of Colorado's defense
allowing just 17 goals in two games, totaling seven draw controls, six caused
turnovers and three ground balls.
Leonard led the team in points and assists and registered acareer-high six 3-point
field goals on a career-high 14 3-point attempts. The game marked her 18th double-
digit scoring performance of the season, second most on the team and finished the
season with four games, scoring at least 20 points. The Buffs fell to Washington 67-
51 at KeyArena in Seattle.
Moore had four draw controls, two caused turnovers and a ground ball in a 15-14
overtime win over James Madison on Thursday. Moore had four caused turnovers,
