Buffs Hospitality Seeking Nonprofit Groups For Fundraising Opportunity

BOULDER - Buffs Hospitality, the exclusive concessionaire provider at Folsom Field and Coors Event Center at the University of Colorado Boulder, is seeking nonprofit organizations for its fundraising program for the 2016-17 season as well as the July 2-3 Dead & Company concert at Folsom Field.
“We are looking for those who believe in providing a little 'Buff Hospitality,' meaning great service, great food and a great experience for our guests," Director of Operations for Buffs Hospitality Maxx Phillips said. "Groups such as sports clubs, church groups, animal rescue groups, school boosters, and any other nonprofit organizations are invited to operate concession stands during games to raise money for their worthy cause.”
During the 2015 football season, non-profit groups raised a total of $167,652 over the course of six games. One group in particular, Colorado Miners, a competitive Boys Basketball Team, comes to Boulder all the way from Colorado Springs to help raise money for their organization.
“Our team has tried several different fundraisers and this, by far, was the best! The money we raised by volunteering for only six days over the course of four months was well worth the time it took to travel from the Springs to Boulder and back,” Coach JJ Brimble said.
The concession stand the Miners chose to run for the 2015 Football season required 12 volunteers and the team earned over $8,000 that will go toward team expenses such as tournament fees, equipment and travel expenses.
Similar groups looking to practice their leadership, social and organizational skills have the potential to earn up to $10,000 in a single season. Donations for the Dead & Company concerts on July 2-3 could be $1,000+ per show depending on the group's size and the locations of the staff.
