Huang Wins Second Tournament Title of Fall Season at SDSU

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Colorado tennis freshman Linda Huang captured her second tournament title of the fall season as she won the Red Draw singles championship at the SDSU Fall Tennis Classic II here Sunday.
WHAT HAPPENED
Freshman Linda Huang won her second tournament of the fall taking the Red Draw title. Huang defeated Cal Poly's Susanne Boyden in a three-set battle but won 6-3, 6-7(10), 7-5. Huang previously won the Gold Draw singles championship at the CU invite earlier this fall.
Kyra Wojcik was the other Buff to get a victory in singles play. Wojcik defeated Carley Hatcliff of Air Force 6-2, 6-2.
Annabelle Andrinopoulos played in the championship match for the Silver Draw, but fell in a hard-fought match. Andrinopoulos faced off against Gemma Garcia of USD and took the first set, but Garcia fought back and took the match winning 3-6, 6-0, 6-1. Chloe Hule also fell in her match today to USD's Sophia Chow 6-3, 6-3.
In doubles play, CU went 2-0 on the final day. The duo of Huang and Andrinopoulos won the consolation side of the bracket defeating Liberty Universities' Bongart and Anderson 6-3. Hule and Wojcik also won their match taking down Rahman and Ferrari of Columbia University in a quick match 6-0.

This wraps up the Buffs fall season and will be back in action in 2018.
