Today's weather is calling for sunshine and clouds with a high of 70 and a 10% chance of rain.Â

First QuarterÂ
- Northern Colorado won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. The Buffs started their drive at their 25-yard line but were unable to gain the necessary 10-yards for a first down and punted to the Bears who started on their 30-yard line, after a 36-yard Alex Kinney punt.
- On the ensuing drive, the Bears moved the ball down the field into Colorado territory after six plays and on the 7th play, Northern Colorado's quarterback Jacob Knipp found Alex Wesley in the end zone for the first score of the game, an 33-yard completion.Â
- The first play of their second drive, Steven Montez hit Devin Ross wide open in the middle of the field for a 37-yard gain. Phillip Lindsay carried the ball the next four plays to get the Buffs to the four yard line and on thrid-and-goal Montez found Ross for a 4-yard touchdown pass. James Stefanou tied the game with the extra point. Â
- The Bears started their drive on their own 25-yard line, on third down Northern Colorado had a bad snap and the ball was recovered on the 5-yard line by Jacob Callier. One play later Phillip Lindsay ran the ball in from 5 yards out to put the Buffs up 14-7 with 8:01 remaining in the first quarter.Â
- After a Northern Colorado punt, the Buffs started their drive on their 27-yard line. Steven Montez hit Shay Fields for 4-yards and Jay MacIntyre for 4-yards on third down to keep the drive going. Colorado would continue to drive after a pass interference penalty on the Bears which moved the ball to the UNC 46-yard line. The Buffs were unable to move the ball from the 46-yard line and were forced to punt on third-and-ten.
- Colorado started their drive from their 26-yard line after a Northern Colorado punt on third down. A holding penalty on first down pushed the Buffs back 10 yards. After a Steven Montez 7-yard run and two Bryce Bobo completions, the Buffs were forced to punt on third down. The Bears started their drive on their own 11-yard line.Â
- The Buffs held the Bears on the ensuing drive, not allowing on them to get any yards. Northern Colorado's punt rolled into the back of Daniel Talley and was recovered by the Bears on their 48-yard line. The Buffs held strong on defense and forced the Bears to punt again. Jay MacIntyre signaled for a fair catch on the Colorado 20-yard line.Â
- On the ensuing drive Colorado's offense started to move the ball. Steven Montez hit Shay Fields for 4 and 13 yards. On first down Montez found Devin Ross a 32-yard completion. Two plays later on third down Montez scrambled and found Shay Fields wide open on the sideline for an easy 28-yard touchdown pass. James Stefanou gave Colorado a 14-point lead with 8:21 left in the second quarter.Â
- After a UNC punt, Colorado began their drive at their 27-yard line. A roughing the passer penalty on the Bears moved the ball to the 42-yard line. The Buffs continued to move the ball with Phillip Lindsay runs and the 73-yard drive was capped off by a Steven Montez touchdown pass to Bryce Bobo for 29-yards.Â
- Following Colorado's touchdown drive, UNC took the kickoff from 5 yards deep in the end zone, Beau Bisharat stuffed Hakeen Deggs at the 10-yard line. On an incomplete pass on third down, Colorado's Afolabi Laguda was called for targeting and was ejected from the game. The penalty kept the Bears drive alive. Three plays later Jacob Knipp found Alex Wesley for a 52-yard touchdown to make the score 28-14 with 1:23 left in the half.Â
- The Buffs started their drive on their 25-yard line and began to move the ball with a Steven Montez pass to Bryce Bobo for 13 yards and then a 30-yard completion to Jay MacIntyre. On third down Montez was looking for Devin Ross and was intercepted by Stone Kane who returned the ball 44-yards to the UNC 48-yard line.Â
- Colorado ended the half on defense with an Isaiah Oliver interception on the sideline as time expired.Â
- UNC started the second half driving 75-yards to the end zone. An offsides penalty and a roughing the passer penalty kept the Bears drive alive. On first down Jacob Knipp threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Michael McCauley to bring the Bears within 7 to start the third quarter.Â
- Colorado had good momentum during their first drive of the second half. Steven Montez completed three passes and Phillip Lindsay ran the ball three times to get the Buffs down to the UNC 19-yard line but on first down Michael Adkins III fumbled which was recovered by Northern Colorado on their 20-yard line.Â
- After holding UNC after the fumble, Colorado took over on their 40-yard line and started to drive down the field. The Buffs started the drive with a Steven Montez 17-yard rush. A holding penalty on first-and-ten pushed Colorado back to the UNC 25-yard line. Colorado was unable to convert on third down. James Stefanou kicked a 33-yard field goal to give the Buffs a 10-point lead with 4:30 left in the quarter.Â
- The third quarter ended with a Steven Montez sack on third down, Alex Kinney punted to start the fourth quarter, a 43-yard punt, fair caught on the 25-yard line of UNC. Â
- The Bears started their drive at their 25-yard line after a first down, Jacob Knipp was looking deep for Frank Stephens, the pass feel incomplete and Chris Mulumba was ejected for the game for targeting on the quarterback. Colorado stopped UNC on third-and-three to force a punt.Â
- Colorado started the ensuing drive on their 15-yard line. Steven Montez completed four passes including a 14-yard touchdown pass to Jay MacIntyre. James Stefanou knocked through the extra point to give Colorado a 38-21 lead with 8:35 left in the game.Â
- After forcing a Northern Colorado three-and-out, Colorado began their drive on their 39-yard line. Phillip Lindsay ran for 35 yards on the drive while Montez threw for 14-yards. On fourth-and-four James Stefanou kicked a 34-yard field goal to put the Buffs up by 20 with 2:15 remaining in the game.Â
- Colorado forced another three-and-out, Ronnie Blackmon ran the punt for 40-yards to the UNC 26-yard line. The Buffs defeated Nothern Colorado 41-21.
