Colorado Announces 2018-19 Track and Field Schedule

BOULDER – The University of Colorado track and field programs announced Wednesday afternoon the schedule for the upcoming 2018-19 indoor and outdoor seasons.

The indoor season will kick off at a pair of meets the second weekend of December as the teams split between the Colorado Mines' Alumni Classic and the University of Wyoming Power Meet on December 7th and 8th. More than a month later the Buffs return home after winter break to host the Potts Indoor Invitational on January 11th and 12th with the Front Range Division I schools in attendance in Wyoming, Northern Colorado, Colorado State and Air Force.

The Buffs have three trips to Seattle scheduled with the Washington Invitational at the end of January, the annual Husky Classic the second weekend of February and finally for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Championships February 22nd and 23rd.

A trip to Birmingham, Alabama, is the final indoor meet for the elite that qualify for the 2018 NCAA Indoor National Championships. The championship returns to Birmingham for the first time since 2016 on March 8th and 9th this season.

The outdoor season starts just a week after the NCAA National Championships at Potts Field for the Jerry Quiller Classic on March 15th and 16th. The team begins to split and chase weather at the end of March with trips planned for Stanford, California; Austin, Texas; and Greeley all during the same weekend.

The Buffs close out the home competition the opening weekend of April for the Colorado Invitational.

The Pac-12 Championships begin with the Multi-Event Championships May 4th and 5th in Tucson, Arizona, with the main championships commencing a week later in Tucson. The championship season continues with the NCAA Preliminaries in Sacramento, California, May 23rd through 25th. The NCAA Outdoor National Championships will be hosted by the University of Texas this season and will begin the four-day competition on June 5th.
