Weather: 

  • It's a partly cloudy day in Seattle as temperatures are expected to be in the mid-50's at kick off. Light winds are coming from the north at five miles per hour. 

Pregame:
  • Colorado looks to bounce back from their defeat last week to USC, as they travel to Seattle to take on No. 15 Washington. 
  • A win would keep the Buffaloes in the hunt for the South Division. The Huskies however are in a tight race for the North Division crown after their defeat last week to Oregon. 

First Quarter:
  • Colorado wins the coin toss and defers to the second half. The Huskies will start out with the ball first. 
  • Davis Price kicks it away and Washington returns it to its 29-yard line.
  • The Buffaloes prevent Washington from crossing midfield on the first drive of the game. The Buffs presented a potent pass defense on that drive and the Huskies are forced to punt. Ronnie Blackmon fair catches the punt at the CU 20.
  • TOUCHDOWN Colorado. Daneil Arias' first career reception is a 37-yard touchdown reception. A well-thrown deep ball down the left side from Steven Montez right into the hands of Arias gives Colorado an early lead. The Buffs also caught a nice break on the drive after a Travon McMillian fumble was recovered in Colorado territory by Josh Kaiser. Caps off a seven play, 80-yard drive lasting 2:54. 7-0 CU. 9:20 left. Price's kick is returned to the UW 23-yard line.
  • Chris Miller makes a nice pass breakup on 3rd and 10 from the Washington 35-yard line. Pass defense does its job again and the Buffs will get the ball back on a Washington punt to the CU 10-yard line. 7:15 left. 
  • The Buffaloes are forced to punt for the first time today. However, the Buffs keep spreading the ball to different receivers, as Chris Bounds caught his first reception of the season earlier in the drive. Punt is fair caught at the UW 16. 3:14 left.
  • Davion Taylor wraps-up Pleasant at the line of scrimmage on 3rd and 2 on the CU 22 to bring up fourth down. 
  • END OF THE FIRST QUARTER
Second Quarter:
  • TOUCHDOWN Washington. Salvon Ahmed rushes it up the right side for a seven-yard score. The Huskies were able to move the chains after the 4th down incompletion due to a pass interference call on Nick Fisher. Browning was able to make some efficient completions on the drive and Washington levels things up at seven. Finishes an eight play, 84-yard drive lasting 3:29. Tied at 7. 14:35 left. 
  • Evan Price makes his first career field goal as he makes a 37-yard attempt to give Colorado a 10-7 lead. Brady Russell caught his first two career receptions on the drive for a total gain of 15 yards. McMillian set up the Buffs to get into Washington territory with a 23-yard gain. 10-7 CU. 11:03 left. Davis Price's kick goes into the end zone for a touchback. 
  • TOUCHDOWN Washington. The Huskies keep punishing Colorado on the ground as Pleasant rushes it in for a 15-yard score. The Huskies rushed for 56 yards on that drive including a 16-yard gain on a draw play a 13-yard gain on a reverse. Washington takes a lengthy 5:24 off the clock on a 10 play, 75-yard drive and the Huskies lead 14-10. 5:39 left. Kyle Evans returns the kick to the CU 39-yard line to set up nice field position.
  • After gaining good field position on the kick return, The Buffs get into Husky territory with a few rushes but couldn't convert on 3rd and long. Washington ball at its own 19. 2:56 left.
  • Nick Fisher claims his first interception of the season and returns it to the Washington nine-yard line. Big moment in the red zone for the Buffs coming up. 2:12 left. 
  • Colorado comes up short in the red zone and settles for a 27-yard field goal attempt from Evan Price who puts it right through. 14-13 UW. 37 seconds left. Davis Price's kick is returned to the UW 29. 
  • END OF HALF

Third Quarter:
  • The Buffaloes will receive to start the second half. Colorado starts at its own 18. 
  • The Buffs were unable to get into Husky territory on the first drive of the second half. Montez made some nice rushes on read options to push the ball downfield but Colorado is forced to punt. Davis Price punts it to the Washington 12-yard line. 10:26 left. 
  • Colorado's defense forces Washington to go three-and-out for the first time this afternoon. Evan Worthington made a nice tackle on 3rd and short to prevent the Huskies from moving the chains. Colorado gets the ball back at its own 46. 8:54 left.
  • The Washington defense comes up with a massive fourth down stop near midfield. McMillian in the wildcat formation wasn't able to get enough on 4th and 1 as the Huskies take over at their own 45. 7:06 left. 
  • The Buffaloes let the Huskies into the red zone, but were able to limit the Huskies to three points. Henry makes a 31-yard field goal. Washington was lurking in the red zone on third and short but got penalized on an offensive pass interference call to push the Huskies back 15 yards. Caps off a seven play, 41-yard drive lasting 3:59. 17-13 UW. 3:07 left. Blackmon returns the kick to the CU 27. 
  • Colorado goes three-and-out for the first time today. The Huskies stood their ground with their pass defense. Punt ends up at the CU 46. 1:33 left.
  • END OF THE THIRD QUARTER

Fourth Quarter:
  • Nick Fisher comes with with another huge defensive play in the red zone, and forces McClatcher to fumble the ball through the end zone for a touchback. A big play to prevent a two-score game and the Buffs will get the ball at their own 20 with 14:20 remaining. 
  • The Buffs were unable to capitalize on their fortunes, as they weren't able to make anything happen after a personal foul on an earlier punt on fourth down. Montez tried to find K.D. Nixon on 3rd and 10 but the Husky secondary came up with a nice breakup to force Colorado to punt. Price's punt is fair caught at the UW 15. 9:39 left. 
  • TOUCHDOWN Washington. Browning finds Fuller on 4th down in a one-on-one matchup for a 26-yard score. The Huskies took a considerable amount of time off the clock on that drive thanks to their dominant ground game and Washington is up by two-scores. Drive lasted 12 plays on 84 yards taking 5:49 off the clock. 24-13 UW. 3:50 left. Evans returns the kick to the CU 23. 
  • Montez' throw intended for Dimitri Stanley is intercepted by Ben Burr-Kirven on 2nd down and returned to the CU 15-yard line. Burr-Kirven leads the Huskies in tackles with 15 for the day and now comes up with a potential game-clinching interception. 3:09 left. 
  • Colorado keeps it a two-score game as the Huskies ran three plays on the ground and make a 30-yard field goal. 27-13 UW. 2:06 left. Blackmon returns the kick to the CU 13. 
  • Colorado turns the ball over on downs as Montez tried to find Arias down the left side of the field. Washington takes over in the red zone and lines up in victory formation.
