Lindsay also saw an increased role on special teams, handling punt return duties for the first time. He returned three punts for a total for 23 yards, including a 15-yard return that led to a touchdown on the first play of the drive. On two kickoff returns, Lindsay gained 38 yards.

Through his first seven games as a pro Lindsay has gained 436 yards on 75 carries. His 5.81 yards per carry is the highest average through the first seven games of an NFL career since Bo Jackson's rookie year with the Raiders in 1987.

Undrafted rookie running back Phillip Lindsay shined in the Broncos' 45-10 victory in Arizona on Thursday night, amassing 90 rushing yards on 14 carries. Lindsay showcased his big-play potential early, breaking free for a 22-yard run in the first quarter to put the Broncos offense in Cardinals territory for the first time. In the fourth quarter, he exploded through a hole for a 28-yard touchdown, the third of his NFL career.Â
