#NFLBuffs: Lindsay Shines For Broncos

Eight former University of Colorado players took the field in NFL Week 7 games.

Undrafted rookie running back Phillip Lindsay shined in the Broncos' 45-10 victory in Arizona on Thursday night, amassing 90 rushing yards on 14 carries. Lindsay showcased his big-play potential early, breaking free for a 22-yard run in the first quarter to put the Broncos offense in Cardinals territory for the first time. In the fourth quarter, he exploded through a hole for a 28-yard touchdown, the third of his NFL career.

Lindsay also saw an increased role on special teams, handling punt return duties for the first time. He returned three punts for a total for 23 yards, including a 15-yard return that led to a touchdown on the first play of the drive. On two kickoff returns, Lindsay gained 38 yards.

Through his first seven games as a pro Lindsay has gained 436 yards on 75 carries. His 5.81 yards per carry is the highest average through the first seven games of an NFL career since Bo Jackson's rookie year with the Raiders in 1987.

Cardinals lineman Daniel Munyer also made his first career start in the game, lining up at right guard and playing all 66 offensive snaps.

Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie recorded three tackles and a pass deflection in the Cowboys' Week 7 loss to Washington.

Cornerback Ken Crawley recoded six tackles and a pass deflection in the Saints' Week 7 win over the Ravens.

Cornerback Isaiah Oliver recorded one tackle in the Falcons' 23-20 win over the Giants.

Left tackle Nate Solder played all 64 offensive snaps in the Giants' loss to the Falcons.

Cornerback Jimmy Smith recorded three tackles in the Ravens' loss to the Saints.

Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon recorded two tackles and a pass deflection in the 49ers' loss to the Rams.
