#NFLBuffs: Lindsay, Bakhtiari Continues Early Season Dominance

October 03, 2018 | Football

10 former University of Colorado football players took the field in Week 4 of the NFL season, with David Bakhtiari and Phillip Lindsay headlining this weeks performances.

Weekly Spotlight

David Bakhtiari – Packers Left Tackle
On his 27th birthday, Bakhtiari turned in another dominant performance in the Packers' win over Buffalo. Tasked with blocking Jerry Hughes, the Bills edge rusher who wreaked havoc on the Vikings offense a week earlier, Bakhtiari surrendered almost nothing. With Bakhtiari protecting his blind side, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers passed for a season-high 298 yards and was sacked just twice. One of the league's premier offensive linemen, he was an honorable mention on the Pro Football Focus quarter-season All-Pro Team as the second-highest graded left tackle through four games.

Phillip Lindsay – Broncos Running Back
Lindsay continued his early season success in the Broncos 27-23 loss to Kansas City on Monday night, eclipsing the 100-yard mark for the third time this season. He led the team in rushing yards (69) and kickoff return yards (32), and added 10 yards through the air to end the night with 111 all-purpose yards. Lindsay also scored his first NFL rushing touchdown, a 1-yard play that put the Broncos on top 20-13. The undrafted rookie took a team-high 12 carries and was on the field for 24 offensive snaps, the most among Broncos running backs.

Chidobe Awuzie started and played all 54 defensive snaps for the Cowboys, also recording eight tackles in a 26-24 win over the Lions.
