#NFLBuffs: Seven Buffs On 2019 Pro Bowl Ballot

November 14, 2018 | Football

Seven former University of Colorado football players are on the 2019 Pro Bowl ballot. You can vote for them here.

Buffs on the Ballot

Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie has started seven games for the Cowboys this season, recording 41 tackles, four pass breakups and a forced fumble. He had one tackle and two pass breakups in the Cowboys' Week 10 win over Philadelphia.

Packers' left tackle David Bakhtiari is the only active Buff to have made a Pro Bowl in the past and will look to make his second appearance this season. Bakhtiari has continually graded out as one of the league's best offensive lineman, playing all 617 offensive snaps this season. He helped the Packers score 31 points and gain over 300 yards in a Week 10 win over Miami.

Packers' kicker Mason Crosby has converted 19-of-24 field goal tries on the year and is 20-of-22 on PATs. Apart from an abnormally tough Week 5 outing against the Lions, Crosby has made 18-of-19 field tries and 20-of-21 PATs. He has also been one of the league's most reliable kickers from long-distance, converting 4-of-6 tries from 50+ yards. He was a perfect 4-of-4 on PATs and made his only field goal try, a 38-yarder, in Week 10 against the Dolphins.

Broncos' running back Phillip Lindsay has taken the league by storm after signing with Denver as an undrafted free agent. On the season, Lindsay has rushed for three touchdowns and amassed 591 yards on 110 carries (5.4 per carry), while adding a touchdown and 160 receiving yards on 20 receptions. His 591 rushing yards leads all rookies and ranks 11th in the league.

Giants' left tackle Nate Solder looks to add a Pro Bowl appearance to a decorated resume that includes a pair of Super Bowl rings. He has gotten more and more comfortable since he joined the Giants over the offseason, making the Pro Football Focus Team of the Week for the first time this season in Week 10. Solder has played all 577 offensive snaps this season.

Seahawks' safety Tedric Thompson has settled in as the regular starter since six-time Pro Bowler Earl Thomas went down with an injury. Since becoming the starter in Week 5, Thompson has recorded 27 tackles (5.4 per game), three pass breakups and a forced fumble. He had five tackles in Week 10 against the Rams.

49ers' cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon has started eight games, recording 24 tackles and three pass deflections. He had three tackles and a pass deflection in Week 10 against the Giants.

Other Notable Performances

Bengals' defensive lineman Josh Tupou recorded a career-high five tackles in a loss to New Orleans in Week 10. Saints' cornerback Ken Crawley returned from injury to record a tackle in the game.
