- It's a clear night in Tucson as temperatures are expected to be in the lowĀ 60s at kickoff. Calm winds are projected in the forecast.Ā
Pregame:
- After a crushing defeat to Oregon State, the Buffaloes (5-3, 2-3) seek to get back to winning ways as they take on Arizona (4-5, 3-3) under the Friday night lights.Ā
- Colorado is still in the hunt for the Pac-12 South title. A win tonight along with some help from others will propel the Buffs'Ā chances.
First Quarter:
- Colorado wins the coin toss and defers to the second half, Arizona will receive the kickoff to start the game. Davis Price's kick hits the left pylon and results in a touchback.
- The Colorado defense makes a great impression on Arizona'sĀ first drive of the game and forces a three-and-out. Ronnie BlackmonĀ makes a big play on the punt return as he takes it 59Ā yards to the UA 14-yard line.
- A reverse hand-off to K.D. Nixon on 4th and 2 is fumbled and Arizona recovers it. The Wildcats take over at their own 8-yard line. Steven MontezĀ scrambled out of the pocket on third down but slid a couple yards short of the line to gain.Ā 11:53 left.Ā
- Colorado's defense does its job again and forces back-to-back three-and-outs. Nate Landman's been showing his defensive prowess early with two key tackles in the game. Punt is fair caught by Blackmon at the CU 34. 9:54 left
- TOUCHDOWN Colorado. Nixon gets the pitch from MontezĀ to the right and sneaks in for the eight-yard score. A very productive drive for the BuffsĀ as they create an 11 play,Ā 66-yard scoring drive lasting 4:19. Juwann WinfreeĀ was a key component to the drive as he snagged in three catches for 38 yards. 7-0 CU, 5:35 left. Price's kick is returned to the UA 7-yard line. Good field position for the defense.
- The defensive efforts in the first quarter for the Buffs have gone from great to exceptional. Nate Landman forces a fumble on the first play of the drive and the Buffaloes recover it at the UA 7-yard line. 5:22 left.
- The Buffs were unable to make the most of the forced fumble and Tyler Francis makes a 25-yard field goal to extend Colorado's lead. MontezĀ saw Kabion Ento run a nice out route to his left side but was unable to connect with him from eight yards out. 10-0 CU. 3:56 left. Price's kick is fair caught for a touchback.

Second Quarter:
- Arizona's offenseĀ crosses midfield for the first time tonight, but Colorado limits the Wildcats to three points after a 49-yard field goal. J.J. Taylor provided a spark for the Wildcats on the drive with 33 total yards on the drive. 10-3 CU. 14:33 left. Kick goes into the end zone for a touchback.
- Colorado is held in check on the next drive as the Buffs tried to run a flea flicker on 2nd and 6,Ā but MontezĀ was sacked for a loss of 13 and the Buffs would eventually punt. Price's punt is fair caught at the UA 38. 12:02 left.
- TOUCHDOWN Arizona. Khalil Tate on third down throws a pristine 40-yard deep ball down the left side into the hands ofĀ BerryhillĀ for the touchdown. Drive took just four plays on 62 yards lasting 1:29.Ā Game is tied 10-10. 10:33 left. BlackmonĀ returns the kick to the CU 23. A facemask penalty on Arizona puts the ball atĀ the 38.Ā
- Colorado's offense goes three-and-out for the first time tonight. MontezĀ had to scramble around some more due to the immenseĀ pressure coming from the Arizona defense. Price punts it down to the Arizona 18-yard line. 8:58 left.
- TOUCHDOWN Arizona. Another efficientĀ drive by the Wildcats is capped off by a one-yardĀ pass from Tate to Poindexter for the score. Tate completed a 33-yard deep ball to Cooper to get the Wildcats deep into the red zone earlier in the drive. An eight play, 82-yard drive lasting just 2:43. 17-10 UA. BlackmonĀ returns the kick to the CU 10.Ā
- TOUCHDOWN Colorado. The Buffs quickly tie the game back up with Montez finding Kyle Evans wide open on the left side for theĀ 17-yard score. EntoĀ came up with two big catches for a total of 40 yards on the drive. WinfreeĀ made a crucial catch for 25 yardsĀ on third and long in Arizona territory to set the Buffs up. Caps off a nine play, 89-yard drive lasting 3:20. Tied at 17. 2:50 left. Kick goes into the end zone for a touchback.Ā
- TOUCHDOWN Arizona. Arizona take the lead back and engineer another efficient drive. Tate found a mismatch earlier in the drive with Drew Lewis in deep coverage and found Ellison for a big gain of 45 to get into CU territory. Terrance Lang brought down Taylor on third down short of the line to gain, but was called for a facemask penalty putting Arizona in position. A six play, 75-yard drive lasting 1:51. Extra point is no good. 23-17 UA. 59 seconds left. CU ball at its 25.Ā
- TOUCHDOWN Colorado. It's been an offensive fireworks show for both teamsĀ this quarter, as MontezĀ findsĀ Travon McMillianĀ deep for a 57-yard score. Colorado takes the lead back as they try to fend off Arizona before the half ends. 24-23 CU. 25 seconds left. Kick is returned to the UA 42.Ā
- HavrisikĀ makes a 55-yard field goal from the right hash to end the half. Arizona has a 26-24 lead at the break and Colorado will receive the second half kickoff.

Third Quarter:
- Kick goes through the end zone for a touchback.
- TOUCHDOWN Colorado. A great start for the Buffs in the second half.Ā MontezĀ finds Tony Brown on a 20-yard out route to cap off a lengthy scoringĀ drive that took 11 plays on 75 yards lasting 5:34. MontezĀ made a crucial completion to Ento on third and long for a gain of 21 to keep the drive alive. Two defensive pass interference penalties later in the drive put Colorado in position to strike. CU take a 31-26 lead with 9:26 left. Price's kick is returned to the UA 39.Ā
- TOUCHDOWN Arizona. Tate once again delivers a great deep pass to PoindexterĀ for a 39-yard score. After four plays on the ground to Taylor, the Wildcats decided to switch it up and go deep. Another quick scoring drive for Arizona. Drive took five plays on 66 yards lasting 2:07. Two-point conversion is no good. 32-31 UA. 7:11 left. Kick goes through the end zone for a touchback.
- After a 21-yard rush by McMillianĀ to start the drive, the Buffs were unable to make anything else happen, ending a streak of three scoringĀ drives. MontezĀ tried to find EntoĀ deep down the left side but was well covered. Price's punt is fair caught at the UA 15. 6:13 left
- Pollack makes a 41-yard field goal to extend Arizona's lead to four. Taylor got some big rushes on the drive totaling 35 yards on five carries. A defensive pass interference later in the drive put the Wildcats in field goal range. 35-31 UA. 2:39 left. CU ball at its 35.Ā
- Francis makes a 48-yard field goal to make it a one-point game to end the quarter. The true freshman is 2-for-2 on the night. Two crucial penalties on Arizona put the Buffs into scoring position. The Wildcats have caused 10 penalties for 99 yards tonight. 35-34 UA. UA start the fourth quarter at its own 15.
- END OF THE THIRD QUARTER
Fourth Quarter:
- TOUCHDOWN Arizona. The Wildcats start the fourth quarter on a high note, as Tate finds Peterson on a short pass and weaves his way through the Colorado secondary for a 57-yard score. Tate used his legs on the play, prior to the scoring play,Ā as he found a lane to his left and ran for 25 yards. Drive took only four plays on 85 yards lasting 1:51.Ā Arizona leads 42-34 with 13:04 left. Kick goes into the end zone for a touchback.
- Arizona takes over on downs as EntoĀ couldn't quite hang onto a well-thrown ball from Montez. Jaylon Jackson made a crucial reception on 4th and 3 earlier to keep the drive alive, but the Buffs are unable to come up with points. UA ball at its 29 with 9:20 left.Ā
- Derrion Rakestraw comes up with a big interception on third down, the first of his career, and goes out of bounds at the CU 31-yard line. Montez and company are looking to tie things upĀ next drive. 7:22 left.
- MontezĀ rolling to his right trying to findĀ Brown but his pass is intercepted. Another pass interference penalty helped the Buffs get into the red zone, but they weren't able to make good use of their fortunes. Arizona ball at its one-yard line with 5:07 left
- Taylor picks up a gain of 21 forĀ a first down on 3rd and 6 inside two minutes. Colorado have no timeouts. Arizona in victory formation.Ā
