Weekly Spotlight
Undrafted running back Phillip Lindsay has been nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week honors after helping the Broncos to a 23-22 win over the Chargers. On the day, Lindsay rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries, while adding 27 yards on four receptions. Sunday marked the fourth time in 11 games that Lindsay has gained 100 yards from scrimmage and was his first two-score game as a pro. His first touchdown came on a 41-yard run, Lindsay's longest play since Week 2. Then, he found the end zone on a direct snap early in the fourth quarter to give the Broncos a 20-19 lead. Lindsay celebrated with a tribute to all-time Denver sports great, Terrell Davis.
On the year, Lindsay has amassed 670 rushing yards and currently sits just 60 yards shy of Denver's franchise record for rushing among undrafted rookies.
Three NFL Buffs took the field for the Thursday night game between Seattle and Green Bay, making it one of five games this season that will feature three former CU players. Seahawks safety Tedric Thompson came away with two tackles and a 27-24 win, while Packers' left tackle David Bakhtiari earned a spot on Sunday's PFF Team of the Week after playing all 49 offensive snaps. Green Bay kicker Mason Crosby was 1-of-2 on field goal tries and made all three extra-point attempts in the game.
