CU Boulder Next Event in Los Angeles to Include Laura Anderson and Joel Klatt

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Former Colorado quarterback and current FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt as well as Colorado Director of Performance Nutrition Laura Anderson will be featured speakers at the CU Boulder Next event in Los Angeles, Calif. on Feb. 24.
Beginning at 1 p.m., the day will include a welcome from Chancellor Phillip P. DiStefano, BuffTalks micro-lectures, featured speaker sessions and a closing reception featuring Stefano and Klatt.
Anderson will lead a talk called "Fueling Buffs for High Performance."
As a dietician, she works with student athletes to shape their mindset when it comes to fueling for athletic performance. Her core message is to use simple, fresh ingredients as the basis for high-performance fueling and athletic success.
"We're connecting the dots between nutrition, training and performance, forging perhaps the most dynamic food conversation and health opportunity in the NCAA," said Anderson.
Other speaker sessions include "Imagining the Fundamentals of Space Exploration," "The Poetry of Pop Songs," "The Government's Speech in the Age of Twitter," "Precision Biomaterials for Regenerating Tissues," "Understanding the Teen Brain," "The Value of Making: An Artist's View," "The Value of Making: An Artist's View" and "New Realities: Exploring Immersive Technology."
CU Boulder Next is an interactive afternoon of learning hosted by DiStefano that will showcase Colorado's people, research and cutting-edge advancements. Attendees will see firsthand how the university is positively impacting humanity, developing tomorrow's leaders and becoming a leader for innovation.
