The Buffs moved to the top of the Pac-12 standings with their 11-10 overtime thriller against Stanford on April 13. CU led the entire game, but with just over a minute remaining, the Cardinal tied the game up at 10-10. In overtime, both teams has changes, but CU's Samantha Nemirov ended the game 2:49 into the frame after she found the back of the net. CU also had a decisive 18-11 victory over California on April 15.

Colorado leads the Pac-12 in two of the three polls. Stanford (12-4, 7-2 Pac-12) sits ahead of the Buffs in the coaches poll (13th) and is 14th in the media and USL polls. Southern California (8-7, 5-4 Pac-12) is ranked 21st in the coaches poll and is receiving votes in the other two polls.
