May 29, 2018 | Lacrosse

BOULDER — After a strong campaign that saw the Colorado Buffaloes advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the Buffs were tabbed 14th in the final Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll of the season.

CU, which finished 14-6 overall, defeated Jacksonville in the first round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Florida in the second round. The Buffs also had a solid conference season, finishing 9-1 to win the inaugural Pac-12 Conference Championship.

The 14th place ranking is the highest by a Pac-12 team as Stanford came in 16th and Southern California was selected 24th.

Colorado also finished 12th in the NCAA RPI.
