July 20, 2018 | Women's Golf
BOULDER — University of Colorado women's golf coach Anne Kelly announced the team's 2018-19 schedule on Friday, which will feature five fall events and five spring events leading into the postseason.
The Buffaloes are set to open the season in the Branch Law Firm Invitational, September 10-11, in Albuquerque, N.M. The two-day tournament, hosted by the University of New Mexico will feature 36 holes on the first day and then conclude with the third and final 18-hole round on day two. The event will mark the ninth time in program history Colorado has played in the tournament.
Colorado returns to the links October 1-2 to play in the Windy City Classic, hosted by Northwestern University in Chicago, Ill. In their third tournament of the season, the Buffaloes travel to Austin, Texas, to compete in the Betsy Rawls Invite, Oct. 19-21. The fourth fall tournament will keep Colorado in the state of Texas with the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas, Texas, Oct. 29-30.
The fall season will conclude for the Buffs in Kona, Hawai'i, for a fifth consecutive year as they are slated to play in the Pac-12 Fall Preview, November 5-7.
The Buffs will tee off the spring portion of their schedule on February 3-5, in Palos Verdes, Calif., for the Northrop Grumman Invitational. CU will stay out west for its second tournament of the spring, the Rebel/Beach Invitational, Feb. 18-19, in Las Vegas.
Just under a month later, March 15-16, the Buffs will head to the Dominican Republic for the Casa De Campo Invitational, another two-day tournament. About two weeks after that, CU will head south to Arizona for the Ping ASU Invitational in Tempe, Ariz., March 29-31.
The Buffs will co-host their annual Silverado Showdown with the University of Oregon, April 7-9, in Napa, Calif., before the postseason begins at the 2019 Pac-12 Championships, April 15-17, in Palos Verdes, Calif.
The NCAA Regionals are scheduled for May 6-8, at various sites, while the NCAA Championship is May 17-22, in Fayetteville, Ark.
Colorado finished its 2017-18 campaign ranked No. 22/21 in the country. The Buffs advanced to the NCAA Championship for the second time in program history and finished 19th.
