It's Cloudy in Lincoln this afternoon with temperatures in the high 60's. Winds coming from the east at around nine miles per hour.

Pregame

Coming off a convincing 45-13 win over Colorado State two Fridays ago, the Buffaloes head into Lincoln this afternoon to renew the 120-year old rivalry with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
This will be the first meeting between the former Big XII foes since 2010. Nebraska leads the all-time series 49-18-2.
CU head coach Mike MacIntyre was the consensus coach of the year in 2016 while Nebraska head coach Scott Frost won the same honors last season with Central Florida. This will be the first time since 2010 when the last two coaches of the year squared off against each other [Gary Patterson (TCU) vs. Kyle Wittingham (Utah)].
Due to Nebraska's season opener being canceled due to inclement weather, Frost will make his coaching debut for Nebraska in their new season opener.
The last meeting in 2010 between the two resulted in a 45-17 Nebraska victory in Lincoln.

First Quarter

Nebraska wins the toss and elects to receive to start the game.
Price kicks it away and we're underway from Lincoln! The rivalry's back! Nebraska starts on the 25.
Big run by Adrian Martinez of 18 yards gets Nebraska to midfield.
Martinez with another nice gain, this time for 11 yards to the CU 30.
Greg Bell loses the football and is recovered by the Buffaloes. Forced by Mustafa Johnson. Davion Taylor recovers it. CU starts at the CU 14.
CU driving ferociously down the field. Steven Montez finds Laviska Shenault Jr. and K.D. Nixon for big yardages. CU now in the red zone.
Offside penalty on Nebraska puts CU with 2nd and goal on the 3 yard line.
TOUCHDOWN Colorado. Montez finds Jay MacIntyre on a flat route to the left for the 3-yard score. It caps off an eight play, 86 yard drive by the Buffaloes. Very reminiscent of the first drive of the game against CSU. 9:00 left.
Price kicks it to J.D. Spielman who returns it to the 20. Holding penalty on Nebraska will have them start at the 10.
Martinez fumbles and it's recovered by the Buffaloes once again. Johnson this time recovering it.
TOUCHDOWN Colorado. Shenault on 4th and 1 in the wildcat bursts his way through the defense and reaches the ball over the goal line for the score. A four play, 24-yard drive put the Buffaloes up two touchdowns. 6:47 left.
Montez is currently 7-8 for 79 passing yards and a score.
Nebraska will once again start at the 25. Bell on 3rd and short pushes for a fresh set of downs.
A big throw by Martinez on 3rd and 17 to Spielman keeps their drive alive. 1st down at the CU 46.
Touchdown Nebraska. A 41-yard scramble by Martinez to the weak side of the defense cuts the Huskers' deficit into half. An 8 play, 75-yard drive. 3:47 left.
CU start on the 25. Montez tries to find Nixon 1-on-1 to the left side on 3rd and 7 but can't covert. First 3 and out for the Buffs. Nebraska will start on their 10.
END OF THE FIRST QUARTER. Nebraska's drive is stalled with a nice wrap-up by Evan Worthington on the line of scrimmage. 14-7 CU.

Second Quarter

CU's next drive will start at their 13.
Montez is hit hard on 3rd down by Khalil Davis and it forces back-to-back three and out's for the Buffs.
Nebraska now driving into CU territory thanks to a few nice carries from Bell.
A missed opportunity by Mustafa Johnson to wrap up Martinez, results in a completion to set up 1st and goal for the Huskers.
Touchdown Nebraska. Daniel Ozigbo rushes it eight yards up the left side to level the ball game. 10:15 left. 7 plays, 52 yards.
CU starts from the 25 again. A flea flicker on 2nd down intended for Juwann Winfree was almost intercepted. Colorado goes three and out for the third straight time.
Nebraska will start at the NU 46. Martinez has settled into this game despite the early fumble, has 150 yards of total offense, 70 in the air and 80 on the ground.
Holding call on 3rd down by Dante Wigley gives Nebraska a new set of downs. Huskers back into CU territory.
Nebraska plans to go for it on 4th and 2, but the Huskers will take their first timeout.
4th and 2, Nebraska decides to run it and it's defended well by Nate Landman and Carson Wells and the Buffaloes will take over on downs.
Montez on 3rd and 11 is sacked for the third time today and Nebraska will begin their next drive at their 21.
Bell gets a huge gain of 45 yards down to the CU 30. Nebraska once again in striking distance. 4:15 left
Martinez finds Kurt Rafdal on a rollout to the left and it gets them 1st and goal.
Touchdown Nebraska. Martinez runs the read option on 1st and goal and takes it in himself for the score. Nebraska takes the lead with 2:24 left in the half.
Montez and co. will have roughly two minutes to find the end zone. They start on the 25.
Timeout Colorado. A few completions from Montez gets the Buffs near midfield with 1:38 left.
Colorado calls their second timeout of the half. 1:34 to go. Ball on the CU 44.
Montez goes to Winfree on the screen for a gain of 14. First down Buffs. 1:27 left. Ball at the Nebraska 42.
Montez with a nice scramble of 16 yards out of bounds at the NU 16. 50 seconds left. 1st down.
Montez completes to Nixon for a gain of 2. Colorado uses their final timeout. 38 seconds left. Ball at the NU 23.
Montez tries to find MacIntyre in the left corner of the end zone but it's well covered by the Huskers. 4th and 8.
Nebraska use their second timeout of the half to try and freeze James Stefanou.
Stefanou's field goal attempt from 40 yards out is good and the Buffs cut Nebraska's lead to 4. 28 seconds left.
Nebraska run the clock out to end the first half. Nebraska 21, Colorado 17. Montez is 15-21 for 130 yards and a score. Martinez on the other hand has 172 yards of total offense, equally 86 yards in the air and on the ground with two rushing touchdowns.
The Huskers as a unit have 243 yards on the ground for the first half alone.

Third Quarter

CU will receive to start the second half. Ronnie Blackman returns the kick to their own 27.
Completions to Kyle Evans and MacIntyre get CU to their own 44. Evans then gets a gain on 9 into NU territory.
Montez with a nice throw on 3rd and 7 to MacIntyre. A gain of 12 to the 32. Play under review. Call stands, 1st down.
10-yard defensive holding penalty on the Huskers gets CU into the red zone.
Montez looked to find Nixon in the back left corner of the end zone but is double covered and falls incomplete. Stefanou to try a 35-yard field goal.
35-yard kick is good. CU now down one with 10:59 left. 12 plays, 55 yards.
Nice coverage on the kick return at they allow Spielman to only get to the 15.
Big sack on 4th down by Johnson forcing Nebraska's first 3 and out of the ball game. 9:16 left.
Colorado will start back up again at their 41.
Another 3 and out for CU. Montez was rushed outside the pocket on 3rd down and was brought down.
Nebraska starts on the 20 after a holding penalty.
Gain of 16 on a screen pass to Ozigbo gives Nebraska another set of downs.
Touchdown Nebraska. A great pass from Martinez connecting with Spielman beats the two safeties for a 57 yard score on a streak route. 5:35 left.
CU start on the 25. Montez is sacked again for a huge loss. Brings up 2nd and 19.
3rd and 19 from the CU 16. Montez makes a vital completion to Winfree to move the chains. A 20-yard gain.
A 19-yard completion to Shenault puts the Buffs into NU territory.
Delay of game on 3rd and 10 makes it 3rd and 15. Montez then proceeds to throw an exceptional pass to Shenault for a big gain of 37 to get into the red zone.
TOUCHDOWN Colorado. Montez throws a well executed screen pass to MacIntyre for an 8-yard score. Buffs make the extra point. 1:24 left.
Nebraska start on the 25. Delay of game brings them back 5 yards.
Martinez' screen pass to Washington gets a nice gain of 14 yards.
Martinez once again using his elusiveness on the ground with a 25-yard rush. Gets into CU territory.
END OF THE THIRD QUARTER: Martinez now with 290 yards of total offense (186 pass, 104 rush). Martinez has also gone 14-17 passing for the game.

Fourth Quarter

Buffs put Martinez under pressure on third down, pass falls incomplete. Pickering's field goal attempt is wide right. Buffs take over at the 27.
Winfree with a nice sideline catch just enough for the first down.
Montez tries to scramble for the first down on 3rd and 8 but slides just short of the marker. Brings up 4th and 2.
On 4th and 2, Shenault in the wildcat gets just enough on the direct snap for the first down. Play was reviewed but upheld.
Travon MacMillian's 10-yard rush gets CU to the Nebraska 31.
MacMillian gets another nice gain on the ground, this time for 12 yards to the NU 19.
Stefanou's field goal attempt from 37 yards is wide left. Nebraska takes over at the 20. 9:56 to go.
A 20-yard rush from Bell on 3rd and 2 gets the Huskers near midfield.
3rd and 12 from the 47 is a 11-yard rush from Martinez, just short of the 1st down.
Nebraska doesn't convert on 4th and 1. Nate Landman comes up with a critical stop and Colorado gets the ball back at their 43. 7:16 left.
Buffs try to run it on 3rd and 1 on the handoff to Evans and come up short. Will come up short.
The Buffs go for it on 4th and 1 and fail to execute on a toss to Evans on the right side. The Huskers take over at midfield. 6:05 left.
Landman comes up with a massive interception on 1st down. Returns it 24 yards to the Nebraska 32.
Montez' throw towards MacIntyre on 3rd and 4 is off the mark. Stefanou will come on to attempt a 43-yard field goal attempt.
Stefanou misses the 43-yard attempt wide left again. 4:49 left with Nebraska taking over at the 26.
Delay of game penatly on Rick Gamboa gives Nebraska a new set of downs. 3:49 left.
Encroachment call on Drew Lewis brings up another 1st down near midfield.

A big completion of 25 yards from Bunch to Morgan. False start penalty called on 1st down which results in 10 second run-off. 1st and 15 with 19 seconds left.
2nd and 9 from the 21 is an attempt from Bunch to the left corner of the end zone which is incomplete. 9 seconds left.

Game on the line here, 4th and 9 from the 21 with 3 seconds left. Bunch attempts a heave toward the left corner of the end zone and it falls incomplete. Colorado takes the victory in Lincoln by the score of 33-28.
