#NFLBuffs: Recapping The Season At The First Quarter Mark

Week four was relatively quiet for our #NFLBuffs, but through the first quarter of the 2019 season they have started to accrue some solid stats.
Chidobe Awuzie led the former Buffs this week with a strong defensive performance against the Saints. Awuzie recorded six tackles, five of which were solo, as well as a pass breakup and an interception. The takeaway gave both Awuzie and the Cowboys defense their first interception of the season in a 12-3 loss to the Saints.
So far this season, Awuzie has recorded 17 tackles (15 solo), four third-down stops, three pass breakups and one interception to help the Cowboys start off 3-1.
Mason Crosby was solid yet again this week, as it was the second game in a row that he accounted for a third of the Packers overall points (9 points in a 27-16 victory over the Broncos). Crosby connected on all three of his PAT attempts and was 2-2 on field goals, with a long of 31 yards. David Bakhtiari kept his strong season going as he helped Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers throw for 422 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-27 loss to the Eagles. Bakhtiari came out of week four as the Packers second highest rated offensive player with a 76.3 rating according to ProFootballFocus.
Phillip Lindsay rushed nine times for 53 yards against the Jaguars while adding one reception for seven yards in a 26-24 loss. So far this season, he has rushed 54 times for 213 yards and two touchdowns while adding 13 receptions for 109 yards as well.
Paul Richardson caught three passes for 14 yards in a 24-3 loss to the Giants, bringing his 2019 totals to 18 receptions for 149 yards and two touchdowns through four games.
Isaiah Oliver recorded two solo tackles in a 24-10 loss to the Titans. Through four games this season, he has recorded 16 tackles (13 solo) and four pass breakups.
Injury Updates
Ahkello Witherspoon suffered a foot sprain in week three against the Steelers and is expected to miss "at least a month" according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. In three games this season, he has recorded nine tackles, seven of which were solo, five pass breakups, and one interception.
Jimmy Smith is dealing with a grade-2 MCL sprain that he suffered against the Dolphins in week one, he is expected to return to action this season and his status is listed as "week to week".
